You forgot to mention one important thing, which you do really well. An this keepin a straight back so that the position of the head (8kg) is nicely located above the rear axle. If the head stays too far in the front, you will drop down if the pedalling accelaration goes down, which will inevitably do. Head positioning is key.

Yep, rear brake is MUST, i have some friends that can wheelie withouth a brake (they are not used to it) and they cant keep the same speed and only way to slow down/stop is by jumping off the bike! Soo learn wheelies only with ur brake in use!

I've been trying a good while! I'm getting there. Tips that make it work better for me (and I've heard elsewhere) are : - sit back in seat - weight on arms and hands should be light - you should feed pressure just at front inside fingers - keep arms straight - look forward to get balance - not down - practice jumping off back

I'm hoping you'll cover bike adjustments to help wheelies. I'm at the small end of acceptable range for my bike size. I think getting that front tire up is hard and I am never reaching the balance point. So no amount of practice helps overcome geometry challenges. Sure, you're a pro and you can probably make a wheelie work on a bike that is a size too large for you. But what can I do? Maybe shorten the stem? How much? Narrow bars? Or wider? Once I can do some wheelies on my modified set up and I know the feel, then maybe I can go back to my original set up and hit it. What advice?

I have been doing wheelies for a week now I have blisters all over my hands but im still good. The thing is, that im learning on a hard bike, my bike has VERY fat wheels, disc brakes which only work when I pull them right into my handle. So im still doing it with no brake. I have another mountain bike but, the tires are flat and i dont have the right adjustment to fit the valve bc its a presta valve. Could someone please leave me a link in the comments where to get one in New Zealand or online close by.

My friend bet 5€ my another friend couldn't wheelie all the way from a grocery store to school (~4km). Guess who had to pay.

You only press the rear brake if you think you are going to fall back off it

I saw a video here on YT. The guy said: It takes 7 days to learn how to wheelie = That's meen 7 days in the saddle training and practice. And THAT is more than ONE WEEK (for me). So about 2-3 weeks ? I just, me myself, and I, started to pratrice wheelies on my FIRST and BRAND new; CUBE eMTB. (I'm still on the lawn.. :-) But I keep forgetting my helmet.

Anyone else ever dreamed they could do an endless wheelie? Unfortunately in the real world I've never been all that great at them and use clipless pedals now so daren't try out my rusty skills 😭

Is the saddle up better? I saw other videos where they say its better down!

Saddle up is better for long straight wheelies (not to high seat of course) and lower seat is best for turning and maneuvering.
