A great feature about LED Fire Alarms is that they draw less current in miliamps so you can save money on power supplies, and they also save alot of energy with a brighter strobe

Very nice alarm! My school has the Siemens branded “alert” lettering LED wheelock exceeder speaker strobe. Strangely there are 2 fire alarms per class room. Nice video!

Voice evac systems in; USA: tone "may I have your attention please, a fire emergency has been reported in the building. While this is being verified, please leave the building by the nearest exit. Do not use the elevators." UK:tone "this is a fire alarm, please leave the building immediately by the nearest available exit."

I like the LED strobes so much better than the old incandescent ones, because cameras like yours can actually pick up the flashes properly since they happen more slowly. Also, they won’t cause epilepsy attacks, even when they aren’t synchronized, because of the longer flashes.

Stephen H, all that needs to happen is something to get into the chamber. The smoke detector picked up all of the smoke S.E.R directed to the System Sensor, as it was quite a large amount. Therefore, the detector noticed it, and set off also! :)

No, they aren’t two-way. Why would they add two-way to a commercial device meant to warn people about fires? That’s a little bit creepy. And, sure you could speak into the speakers, and have everybody listen, but that’s about it.

Now I see why Wheelock and Edwards do not recommend having the original LED devices (Exceder LED and GL1) mixed in with their new LED devices (LED3 and G1AV/G1V/G4AV/G4V). That slow flash pattern of the old LED devices really is bad.
