Wheels for Wales evening meet. What turned up?

We took Elly the 2CV to the first Wheels for Wales evening meet. Nice to attend a smaller meet and have time to chat with folk! Held at Popty Kate's Bakery, which sells truly delicious food. There is also some Hublet silliness...
Cars included MX-5s, Volkswagens variously a tidy MGF, Fiats and a BMW E46.

When I was a student, I ended up doing lots of friend's weddings in my Morris Minor, either as the bridal car or the bridesmaids' vehicle. I did a very posh wedding in Edinburgh and had to transport 3 bridesmaids, all of whom had HUGE crinoline style dresses. Lots of careful folding went on. So I sympathise with you doing Prom duty.

we have just been through 6 weeks of political chaos. I feel much calmer now and seeing the beautiful Welsh countryside reminds me that as a resident of Nth Yorkshire I need to sit back take a deep breath and relax. Love where you live. Anyway enough of that - the Duster has its MOT tomorrow - hoping not to be plunged back into chaos. Great Vlog Ian - as a dad myself I would just say you are a natural in the role.

Most couples going to prom would want a Rolls-Royce, a Mercedes but someone said why not a 2CV. How cute and different, especially one so colorful and owned by a YT celebrity. Maybe a new side gig, like for weddings to help finance your compulsive heap purchase disorder (CHPD).

Having been working on my own eunos roadster (JDM import MX5) it's good to the see the pop-ups out in force. Your channel and Matt's furious driving have a lot to answer for this spannering. However, it has brought back skills from uni days and the little green monster is now back on the road after a comprehensive brake overhaul, upper control arms, track rod ends and a full service. It's very stock, daisy wheels etc, no lowering kit for me.

Can't work out if this event was before the Netherlands trip or not. Wheels for Wales website useless -- next event August 2025, and no mention of when this meet up was. All a bit smoke and mirrors.
