Texas vs California | LLWS Winners Bracket | 2023 LLWS Highlights

Texas and California played in the winners bracket in the 2023 Little League World Series. The winner would be only 1 win away from the United States Championship Game.
Covering sports in a unique way since 2018.

The best part of my work as a KZfaqr is being able to provide coverage of sports that may not receive as much attention as they should to the large audience I have built over the years. Many of the sports I cover aren't posted by any other KZfaqrs, which makes this channel that much more important.
One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I've adopted two different styles, one with logos on the left and a game snapshot on the right, and the other with the logos in the middle and game snapshots representing both teams on either side.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

The Honolulu championship coach is coaching the 11s for Honolulu, so this year Hawaii wasn't strong. Expect them next year

@@STUNNAFRS Southern CA coach now realizing you play to win the game you're playing and not playing to play the NEXT game to win. Now, he blows all his pitcher with pitch count in the Consolation bracket. That's tough to fight through.

@@RickMaloch he did it this way in the regional but if not for the blunder for Norcal to not use their best arm starting, socal wouldn't even be here. I've never seen a team so conservative or cocky to not throw their best arms the first two games. They got bailed out against Ohio because of the shortened game but Texas threw their ace as far as they could go and that saved them at least one game even if they lose their next game.

they still haven't used their 2 best pitchers lol. Brody brooks pitched one inning and is available tomorrow, lappe is still available as well. idk why california has saved them the entire tournament basically.

@@STUNNAFRS cali doesn't seem to have shutout type pitching. Rhode Island will have their ace. cali doesn't have a highpower offense either so they really gonna have to scratch and claw if they wanna get back into it.

@@tainanking lol, you clearly didn’t see the last inning in this game, or the regional championship game. Lappe pitched 6 innings to a VERY GOOD northern california team allowing 1 run, Brooks hasn’t pitched til last nights 1 inning

The outfielder and manager for el segundo cost them the game, the outfielder needs to make that catch in the 1st inning that cost them 2 runs. The manager cant keep holding back his best pitchers until after the damage has been done he is going to cost his team an early exit when they clearly had more talent.

The 4th pitcher for Cali has the best stuff of all USA pitchers. I have no clue why they are not using their #1 and #2. It seems like they thought they'd steamroll this tournament and are just not playing well. They can either use this as a wake up call or get beat by a tough RI team Props to Texas though. They use their ace - who rises to the occasion every game - and they stay with him until pitch counts runs out. Texas showed that team toughness beats team talent when the pressure is on.

El segundo did the same against ohio not using there best pitcher and almost lost. They keep playing with fire and will ultimately get burned by the managers decision to play conservative. El segundo clearly has the better talent on usa side of the bracket .

@@user-ve9dt6rd1z nah. I think norcal had their most consistent starter. Manivung didn't start at pitcher in any of the games in the regional. I don't think he's a usual starter for them. Just so happened that he was able to come in and pretty much shut the door but the damage was done

@@thekingelp3551 the guy from texas isn't that great. He's good but even he doesn't throw a 70 mph. It's certainly not a terrible take. The guy from norcal that came in relief shut them out but the previous pitcher gave up the runs. That's the only elite pitcher they've seen.

It’s a tough decision deciding when to put your best pitcher in. You don’t want to save him for later games and get sent to the losers bracket right off the bat .. Chinese Taipei has played their ace twice already which I found to be an interesting move

I have been watching the LLWS for more than 35+ years and since 2017, it has been very disappointing. Once the bats were changed, the Home Run bomb days were over. Do you notice now, if you see one Home Run a game, you're lucky. And, the Home Runs are not moon shots like years ago, they basically squeak over the fence, maybe 230FT 240Ft tops versus the 280FT bombs of yesteryear. In 2016, my son was eleven years old and was hitting bombs in Little League, when he turned 12, in 2017, he was much bigger and stronger, yet only hit one Home Run, due to the bat change. People (fans) want to see Home Runs, that is why there is a Home Run Derby.

It's definitely noticeable, but I see a marked improvement in the pitching the last few years. Personally, I prefer it because it results in more doubles and triples, which I think is good for the game.

@@edcortes5764 I think the pitcher's mound needs to get moved back. It's just too close. Games need more offense. Offense needs to start thinking some hitters are just placing their hits instead of always trying to crush it.
