(If you need English subtitles, please go to your captions setting and select "English"~) 当一名大学生因为嫌妈妈给的生活费不够花,而当街粗暴对待她,看到这一幕的路人们会怎么做呢?不要在本该努力奋斗的年纪只知挥霍攀比,更不要因此而向父母一味地过度索取!

It's that in Eastern cultures (not saying that Western cultures don't do it), respect for one's parents are highly valued (sometimes even to the extreme of disregarding that the parents are actually in the wrong and causing their children extreme grief), especially when it's such a close knit community where children stay with parents well into adulthood. There's also a lot more that tie into it but it'll get long so I'll stop here.

that guy who said that his mother was in the hospital and that he is scared to lose her one day is a true gem. We often don't appreciate our parents enough for what they do for us. I remember how my mom and dad stayed up all night for me just because I was suffering from ear pain. They drove me to the hospital in the middle of the night and I, having a trauma of eating medicines, threw away all the medicines I had to eat that day. I didn't even realize that the medical expenses were so much. Now that I know and I'm all grown up, I try to do everything for them. I know it's hard to make out time but that is what we all are here for, doing good deeds and giving people all the love that we got as a child.

Your story was so touching.... I also had the same situation... I once had appendix and it really hurt my stomach, that time my dad drove me at 3:00AM and when we in middle of the road to the hospital, I threw up at the car so he has to get me back to home to change my clothes and clean the car a bit and he sent me back at the hospital at 4:00AM...When we arrive, the nurse at the counter thought my sickness is just normal and make me and my dad wait outside of the room for 4 hours...and when its our turn to check, the doctors that check my x-ray said that I had to take surgery immediately or I will die...My dad got so mad at the nurse bc she make us have to wait for 4 hours, after that the doctors also mad at the nurse...I have to stay at hospital for 9 days and my dad was the one who always take care of me, he also had to take 3 of my siblings back from school, gladly my little sister was sent by her teacher since she a really closed friend with my mother and her daughter is also my bff...and in coincidence, 3 or 4 days after I got in the hospital, my mom giving birth to my little brother, she also praise for me everytime when I am at the hospital and even after she give birth she still wanna visit my room which is just upstairs of her room and I really appreciated it...and then I got healed which is really great.... Thanks to my grandparents who has take care of my siblings when my mom and dad at the hospital and also for giving me a souvenirs everytime, uncle who gave me a pink big teddy bear to make me not scare at the hospital and I still keep the teddy bear at my room right now, aunt who take care of me at the middle of the night bc my dad had an emergency, cousin who take care of my mother after she giving birth, teachers who sent my little sister back from school everyday, friends and bff who worry about me all the time and try taking care of my little sister at school when Im not there, my dad company for paying my surgery which is 5,000 since the boss is really closed friend with my dad and my dad is the assistant manager, neighor who also take care of my mother and siblings when none of my family at home since my mom is pregnant, a person who stay in a room with me for also praise me but sadly she died at her surgery and make me really sad, and lastly ofc both of my parents for always praise for me and take care of me, thanks to everyone ^^ After that I gotta be at home for 1 month for my health which mean I cant go to school yet...After I finish my whole 1 month at home, I suddenly had exam at school and somehow I got number 1 with my bestie which make me really surprised bc I haven't learned anything since Im just staying at home...I guess this is everyone praised... But things change fast, I gotta moved from my old neighborhood and have new school...my mom and dad start to quit job and start their own business which make them stress and argue everyday...And now I already had 6 siblings 3 brother and 3 sister... Somehow I feel depressed and feel like Im useless but I know someday thing will also change....

Akne Hirsutismus Id love to know how they’re being hypocritical too.
@vanillascone76144 жыл бұрын
Akne Hirsutismus I understand your point of view. However, there is no excuse for the way that girl (within this hypothetical scenario) acted towards her mother. Perhaps she had suffered, and perhaps she faced abuse and malice earlier in her life, but being a repulsive and disgusting person bears NO FRUIT OF AN EXCUSE. So a man decided to defend an old women facing backlash and ridicule from her supposed daughter, is that too egregious of an offense? Especially when he stood up for what was RIGHT instead of what was wrong? He is not a hypocrite.
@vanillascone76144 жыл бұрын
Akne Hirsutismus One more thing. That person wasn’t even acting all harsh and offended towards you. You brought that resolution on yourself, and then attacked them PERSONALLY. That is not right, why the fuck would you stand for ‘respect my opinion!1’ and then immediately turn only to bash and hate on their OWN opinion-?? And WHY would you bring up their race and country, when that is exceedingly unnecessary? Do me a favour. Please, let people live, let people harbour their own individualized thoughts, and STOP being racist.
@edithrodriguez96694 жыл бұрын
@Akne Hirsutismus We've all been raised differently and all ways should be respected. Any parent should be aware that their child should know that whatever is "family" should be addressed where the family is not in public. I would hope that if you were the parent you wouldn't want to be embarrassed that way, also if clearly you can't corporate with others opinions and raising preferences you should look for something with your mind-like thinking.

A lot of the people are basically telling the girl (the actress) that no one will care whether she's using a good bag or not and that if she wants a luxurious bag, she should earn the money herself because she's an adult. The girl wearing the brown jacket at 2:31 asked the old lady, "That's your daughter? You're calling someone like this your daughter?? What even are you(towards the daughter)?? Isn't she your mother?? No one treats their mom like this! What do they teach you in school??" (sorry if the translation is a bit off cause I can't really understand their Chinese)
@Maltcandyxp4 жыл бұрын
(Adding on) Most of them were just talking about filial piety as a basic form of respect, that her mum doesn't owe her anything etc then the young girl's mum is a cancer patient I think and the guy's mum is a long term hospital patient, so they're both affected since they don't know how long more they have to be filial to their mum

“You’re an adult. You can earn money yourself” hit the mark. Even students can work part time jobs. I think that’s the right attitude to have. If we are above 16 years old we are capable of both working and studying so if you want to have luxury, get it yourself.

*Actual Translations* *Talking to mother* You still think of this type of person as a daughter?! What kind of daughter is this?! Throw her bag away! *Talking to the daughter* How could you be such a person! She is you're mother isn't she?! I've never seen a daughter like you! This is how you treat your mother?! This is what they taught you in school?! How could you do something like this! 4000 yuan?! You're asking for 4000 yuan?! How much does you're mother make a month?! How many four thousand does she make a month?! I've never seen anyone talk to their mom like this!

Don't need subtitles. These stories are felt and makes me feel good despite crying. I did this to my mum once or twice when I was young and selfish. I wish someone had stopped me. Mum's in heaven now and sometimes I remember my deeds with shame and guilt. I loved that young people in China sustain their tradition and told the daughter off. They're the same age yet don't yell.... except the girl at the end who reacted Western 🤭😆 I'm loud when angry and I'd have thrown the bag at her feet too 😂😅😅 Thank you.
