ABOUT ME: Hallo, Servus, and welcome to my channel! My name is Felicia (Feli), I'm 28, and I'm a German living in the USA! I was born and raised in Munich, Germany but have been living in Cincinnati, Ohio off and on since 2016. I first came here for an exchange semester during my undergrad at LMU Munich, then I returned for an internship, and then I got my master's degree in Cincinnati. I was lucky enough to win the Green Card lottery and have been a permanent resident since 2019! In my videos, I talk about cultural differences between America and Germany, things I like and dislike about living here, and other topics I come across in my everyday life in the States. Let me know what YOU would like to hear about in the comments below. DANKE :)

nit at 3:54: it's a bit more complicated than that and chances are a purchaser would go through a background check still (assuming the purchase could even otherwise legally be made) 1. all licensed dealers (this being a federal system) have to conduct background checks regardless - and these comprise the vast majority of both sellers by number and sales by volume at gun shows 2. about a quarter of states (kentucky and tennessee not being among them) separately require everyone to conduct them for all transfers regardless of who's involved or where it takes place 3. as per federal law private transfers must only be between people residing in the same state and conducted in the state they both live - they have to go through a licensed dealer in any other situation (who then is required to conduct background checks etc) 4. handguns are further restricted in that even licensed sellers have to be federally licensed to sell handguns to your state of residence in order for you to buy from them - this is more likely to impact (and block) purchases at gun shows than gun shops too note: violations of most these laws are felonies too so you kinda have to follow them religiously us gun control is a topic that not only is it touchy there's also a ton of popular myths about it even on its current legal status that few seem to care to debunk

If you think we do background checks while selling our guns to friends and family, or friends of friends, here in tennessee... Ha. It's no one's business what property I sell and to where it goes. Not saying I've ever done it. Just what I've seen

Everything you said lined up with what I said in the video. Of course, you can also buy a gun from a private seller outside of a gun show but that makes it even crazier if anything.

@@FelifromGermany Well, you know what? I looked it up, and you are right after all. I stand corrected. I apologize for calling you a liar. I’ve been several times, but not recently…I’ve had all kinds of wild experiences and seen musical performances that I’ll never forget - festivals do take stamina, but they’re a blast…and that first shower after you get home, or to a hotel, on the way back home…is THE BEST! Walmarts always feel too big to me and I grew up with them in Canada. Especially the supercenter ones. It took me a few months to learn my way around one of the supercenters at one end of town, but if I go to the walmart supercenter other end of town, I am totally lost. Loud concerts always bothered me, even when I saw my fave bands and singers live when I was a teen and throughout my twenties. Those concerts only lasted maybe two or three hours. My girlfriend's family is from Michelstadt but she grew up in Ohio, and we live in Cleveland now. I'm trying to learn more practical info about German culture and differences and your channel is #1 for that. Hopefully I'll be more prepared when we save up to visit there one day. Anyhow, Bonnaroo sounds awesome. Haven't been yet but been to a bunch of festivals around the Midwest. Just want to suggest one--Nelsonville Music Festival in southeast Ohio. Probably the best one I've been to of all of them. Low key and well done and a beautiful setting. Smaller/medium indie rock and folk artists for the most part, but did see bands from Netherlands and Congo and a Colombian-Canadian there last year. All amazing. Just thought I'd give NMF a shout out since you live pretty close to it. And it's right by the Hocking Hills which is no doubt the most beautiful part of Ohio. Even if you never go to NMF, definitely visit Hocking Hills if you haven't already. Peace!

Texas only prohibits open containers in the passenger area of a vehicle. You can carry them in the trunk, the cargo area of an SUV, or a locked glove box as examples. Laws vary from state to state and you should always check for the state you're visiting, but I'd be surprised if there are any states that don't allow for transporting opened containers of alcohol in any manner.
