@@kiera6326 you don't just give people money for free, that's not how the world works. Gifts are fine, but allowance? No. It's not good for kids to have money without either earning it or having it as a gift for a special occasion.
@kiera63262 жыл бұрын
@@elisakrivas I disagree. Childhood is the only time in your life that you don’t have to earn money. I understand preparation, but it’s important that they’re allowed to grow and have certain experiences. I think as long as they behave and try their best, they should be rewarded, and I think money is the best kind as they can use it however they like, and get to experience what it is they’ll later earn money for. Some kids don’t care about it, because they’ve never known what they’re missing. But that’s just my opinion.

Growing up my mom was the adopted mother to all my misfit friends and basically anyone that came through her door. It didn't matter what your situation was, who you were, or what you had done wrong, if you needed something to eat and a warm hug, my momma always had your back. In the years since my father passed, she's been struggling to keep the light on in her heart. Videos like this remind me how amazing my mom is and how determined I am to see her light shine again. Thx for the laughs friend!! My wish for you (all) is that in your next life, you get an awesome loving mom like mine!! XD

We can be strict without being abusive. The physiological effects of abuse last for life. It's not helpful at all. I was also a strait A student and graduated at the top 1% of my class. I took IB classes, above AP level and in the end it still wasn't good enough for my mom. All I wanted was love and acceptance. As an adult, I realized I never should've had to work to be loved. Throughout the 17 years of my life i've heard this one sentence, " Because of you, we are suffering." constantly and it still somehow manages to pierce a hole in my heart. I feel like i became a burden by being born. In the past i had tons of sui**dal thoughts cuz of this. I wanted to d*e so bad just to escape from this feeling of being a burden. @oceanmythjormundgandr38912 жыл бұрын
Yeah, same here. My mom never even raised her hand. Communication is key. She made it clear where she had her expectations, and if I failed to reach that I communicated that I literally had reached my peak in for example math. Then we would work things out. She wasn´t too slack nor did she choke me with expectations. And If she has hurt my feelings, I let her know. If I hurt hers, she lets me know. If I needed to improve, she would let me know and somehow direct me to get better. I still don´t know how she did it. I have gotten shouted at for a shitty grade before though, and those few times really made me make sure I at least would try my best. If we can´t be civil in our home, how can we expect anything to be better later in life? Sure, for some it works out to hit the child that is reliant on them, but its a gamble to teach someone vournable that hitting is fine inside the home.

@@CoCoFantastique I agree. Spoiling children is just as bad as hitting them. I just think no one mentioned that in the comments because spoiling your children is already seen as a bad thing in Asian countries (rightfully so) but child abuse in normalized.

Just for reference beating your child is not abuse. Beating UP your child on the other hand is. Something that causes a little sting or a bruise is not considered abuse, but if you purposefully make the child bleed or break bones or just have an injury that takes more than a day or two to heal, it is abuse. I mean if you got a bleeding scratch from a physical punishment it's somewhere in between, but it can be judged by considering how often it happened or how big the scratch was and if the bleeding part was on purpose.
