In 2006, Audi introduced the diesel-powered R10 TDI, which succeeded the dominant Le Mans-winning R8. Like its predecessor, the R8, it was an unstoppable winner, securing victories at Le Mans three times, ALMS three times, and ELMS against Peugeot. The R15 also conquered Sebring and Le Mans.

8:34 Can I get your source on the 2009 R15 being hybrid? I can't find any info on the internet about this, I can only find that the 2012 R18 e-tron was the first hybrid lmp1 from Audi, which used a flywheel setup and that the first Audi lmp1 that used batteries in the hybrid system was the 2016 R18

The Audi R15 is not a hybrid car and only relies on a single source of energy. It does not utilize a hybrid KERS system but instead makes use of a lithium-ion battery for its electrical system.

@camperosintomate You are misunderstanding. I never said the R15 was a "hybrid" car. I sourced everything correctly about the R15 from Audi Sport themselves. It is not a hybrid car. The Peugeot 908 HY? That's a hybrid prototype.
