In honor of NHL opening night I thought I would turn the clock back to 2016 when Auston Matthews let the league know who he was by scoring 4 goals in his NHL debut.

Matthews is just so unlikable with his nba-oriented personality. He tries to be a fashion star more than a pro hockey player

I am not a Leafs fan, but I would much rather have our players possess an "NBA personality", rather than a classic hockey "non personality". People just find reasons to dislike people for no reason.

@@sakalaathletics agree to disagree. I’d prefer my favorite players to act professional and let their on ice performance be their personality. Like Patrick Kane is a great example of the way athletes should be IMO

@@Mikiciko As far as I am concerned, Matthews has never really done anything unprofessional. I don't like some of his outfits, but that doesn't make me dislike him. And you're right, Kane is a really good example! 👍
