What a pleasure it’s been to watch this guy playing football during 15 years. Most people are glad to have lived during Messi/CR7 era, personally I’m glad to have lived during Benzema era .

The close control this guy has is just incredible. So many players would freeze up in these situations and not know what to do but this guy always seems to have a way out.

His composure reminds me of Zidane - never rushed. Not saying he moves slow or does anything slow, quiet the opposite. Even when he moves fast, reacts fast, executes something fast, he remains calm and collected

No one ever would argue about the quality that Benzema has, nor the importance of him to real madrid.Nevertheless, beside these advantages I’m must admit that there are also drawbacks which are as follows: * Benzema is playing a fantastic complex role in terms of using every tiny space in the field and knowing when to move based on his analysis to the opponents and their tactics + their defense weaknesses. He can easily cause a trouble to the strongest defense by luring the defenders to get them away from their defense line which makes a space other Madrid player can run into. * Benzema scoring abilities is excellent, he might not be the best striker to score goals but lets agree that he has the quality of a striker especially in the last few years. You can check on some of his goals are truly legendary like his goal against Osasuna in 2012 and against Ajax in 2013. * Karim Benzema is a great playmaker. His passing and playmaking is from another level. Just watching him passing the ball is so satisfying I really wanted to become a player wth multiple abilities like him❤️. Now, imagine him retiring or transferred to another club who in the world will be capable of replacing him with all of the abilities and qualities we just mentioned earlier? Unfortunately, Real Madrid depended on Benzema a little too much to the point that the team offense machine cannot work well without him. This will be the sad story of madrid in the coming seasons💔

I played with a good buddy of mine in high school and club. I never understood what the club coach saw in him until years later. He was never as good as everyone else, always a little behind in skills compared to rest of team. He kept recruited both of us for 3 years straight together. Other team could smell his lacking from a mile away. The defenders would position themselves as if he were to pass the ball, they wouldn't guard him as hard as the others when he had the ball. This allowed him to score many "out of nowhere" goals, and when he started doing this in a match they would defend him more seriously which opened up his teammates for a pass to score. He scored goals you never thought he would and many match winners in tournaments. He was a nightmare for other teams, and I never saw it like that back then. Never knew what he was gonna do, and he could score from almost any angle randomly. Wouldn't want any other player to play up top with me besides him. I understand my coach now. Reminds me of how In my co-ed league right now, the male defenders would rather let the girl shoot then give a pass to their male teammates. Not a big surprise most goals are scored by the girls.

I am a Real Madrid fan through and through, since 1997. So let me be clear, Benzema does not have natural skills or talent for dribbling, if he had, he’d be showing them since he arrived in 09’ season. What he has is experience, he is a smart person and has memorized moves that allow him to beat defender, because he is an experienced alpha wolf. He doesn’t not have natural innate talent like Messi or Cristiano, he is a striker, he lives and thrives on goals.
