More of an anti-hero if you read the Zed comic he's not as bad as lore and interactions sometimes portray him. He does bad things to reach a good goal, he rides the fine line between villain and hero.

its not weird, he did nothing wrong, he literally just embraced a forbidden technique that corrupts the mind of its wielder to protect his homeland when he saw that that the kinkou were willing to see Ionia crumble just to maintain "BaLaNcE", its justified and he only did what shens father told him so its not on him if anything its shens father the real villain

His intentions are good, but he's currently (knowingly) commiting genocide against the Vestaya by building towers that suck the magic out of the land, which kills them, drives them out of their land (since they need magic to survive); and cause the Vestaya's birth rates to decline. So I wouldn't exactly call him a good guy

He insisted on killing Jhin, not arresting him, the both times they had Jhin on the edge. Shen didn't support Zed because Zed had already an awful reputation as the master of a forbidden order of murderers, even if it was for the good of Ionia.

It's the oath of keeping balance that Shen follows, which is why he didn't kill Jhin. I don't know if there's a point in this vow, or if Shen is just turning a blind eye from what Jhin did.

the fact is that the actual purpose of the shadow order is to protect ionia from enemy , cuz the kinkou methods were too passive. So in reality zed is not that bad after all , he just accept every metods to reach his objective

I like how irelia is the only ionian character (apart from kayn) who agrees with zed's ways. They have both experienced the injustices of the noxian army and agree that the pacifistic ways of karma, shen etc just won't solve anything.

Shock blade Zed’s if he did return/not get into shadow magic.. but I think he still got accused for killing Shen’s father (story goes Zed killed Shen’s father but that was only because Shen’s father got power hungry and was going to do something horrible). Shen still blames Zed :/

they orchestrated shens father death its in the comics ut was explained he loved zed more than his son shen cause he saw zed has more potential and after doing his masters bidding he became power hungry and tried to kill zed so zed killed him instead since he has more experience with the shadow magic. whats sad is that he could've returne to the kinkou order and explain everything that happened but he didnt want to destroy shen's respect for his father so he decided to keep thr story to himself and act as a villain without anyone except kayn knowing the whole story. you read this in the comics of zed
