Jane McKenney My mom had suspected it for a while and out of the blue asked me if one of the reasons why I was so depressed and digusted with myself was because I was bisexual. I got really embarrassed, but said yes and we then had a long discussion. My dad, on the other hand, also suspected that I wasn't straight and I came out to him after a psychiatrist appointment. Just take your time and make sure it's safe for you to come out. I wish you the best of luck.

AS a gay man, I cannot help but love this video. I do not recall how stressful it was for me to come out to people (then again, I AM currently fifty, so there are some things I no longer remember, and some things I no longer care to remember), but I doubt I AM the only one who found it hysterical that the other three were more interested by the topic of men's fashion. And I must admit, I never knew that some shirts had higher collars (smile).

@@witchypoo7353 I can only speak for myself. My life has not always been a happy one, and I feel that my lack of Self-Love and Self-Esteem at the time contributed to that greatly. Personally, being older than eighteen years-of-age is one crystal clear reason why I AM much happier in the world, but I digress. Also, my mother had a lot of personal problems that contributed to my childhood being strained, to put it mildly. In my life, I have both created and found opportunities to be happy, and although my life is not perfect, I AM much happier. Granted, I cannot speak for every Gay man in his fifties, only this one.

A little irrelevant, but everyone's talking about their stories, so: My girlfriend, before she could admit that she was gay, she came out as bisexual to her family and they all said something along the lines of, "no, you're not. You're just confused and straight" (her family is very religious) but a while later, at least a year or two, she was talking to her new stepmom and said "I'm bi" and proceeded to only compliment women and talk about her attraction to girls when her S-mom went, "Jesus christ, you're not bi, Alex! You're gay!" And it was what my girlfriend needed and she realized that yes, she was gay. She told me that story last night and we had a good cry over it Edit: well, update. My boyfriend technically came out as straight, he just didn't know it yet (by which I mean he came out as trans last year!) I'll leave the pronouns for now (otherwise the story doesn't exactly work) but I've replaced his deadname. Many well wishes 😁

I feel like this was how my coming out was except for the end. When I told my friends, we all kind of did that domino outing where we all just happened to be lgbtq and when I told my mom her response was “I think I already knew. Do you mind if I tell your stepdad or do you want to do that yourself?”

I have a similar story. I've been in three friend groups now, one for primary school, one for high school, and one for university. The domino thing was prevalent in the latter two. But in each and every one, as of now, only one person has remained straight. Dominoes everywhere

@ElementalLeaf
@ElementalLeaf 7 жыл бұрын
+Molten Lava Uhhh. No. That's not it AT ALL. Bisexuality has nothing to do masculinity or femininity. Masculinity and Femininity are TRAITS. I for example am a Feminine man. Some bi guys will love that, others will not and want a burly, rugged, manly man. Being bi means you like both the dick and the vagina, has nothing to do with the traits of the people accompanying that dick and vagina.

Here are some facts I'm gonna write down about bisexuality so please read them if you don't know a lot about it: 1. Bisexuality means being attracted romantically and/or sexually to two genders or more. (And the attraction is not always equal. It differs from person to person according to their preferences.) 2. Bisexuality is way different than polysexuality; polysexuality means the person can get attracted to multiple other people at the same time (whether they are from the same sex or the opposite). 3. Bisexual people don't date 2 people of each gender at the same time, that counts as cheating for them too. (Unless they are polysexual and bisexual.) 4. Bisexual people are not confused. Please stop labeling bisexual men as "closeted gay men" and bisexual women as "straight attention seeking women". Bisexuals are just bisexual, not gay and not straight. If they were colors they wouldn't be either yellow or red, they would be orange! 5. Bisexual people are not looking for a thr*some. Just like with straight people, what they do in bed depends on the person individually and not their sexuality. 6. Pansexuality and Omnisexuality are sexualities that fall under the bisexuality spectrum and are both different and valid on their own. Thanks for reading...♡

@@KaiserAllen Being someone's friend means you should also understand when something feels like a big deal to them. If my friend's parents are getting divorced, I don't just brush it off with a "oh that sucks man" since it doesn't seem like a big deal to me, I let them vent and try to be understanding of how hard it might be for them even though I've already gone through the same thing. Maybe learn what being a good friend means before declaring it dishonest to engage with them in the way they want to be engaged. In case you're not aware, being a good friend doesn't just mean treating them to way you feel you should be treated, it also means you take their feelings into account. After all, they're supposed to be your friend
