Problem with Conor is, Dana keeps him for main events and big fights every once a year or two. He knows Conor is the money fight and doesn’t want to let that dwindle down, but Conor NEEDS to knock the rust off his shoulders. He isn’t active. He’s being held on the bench because of money and being fed to guys that are active. It’s all on ol Uncle Dana.

Maybe it’s that, but also it’s the fact that he is a multi millionaire and has accomplished all of his dreams in MMA. What is he doing it for now? What is really driving him deep down? He may think he still wants it, but in reality that fire in the depth of his soul ain’t burning like it used to, how could it ? Why would it ?

Its not difficult to understand, back then, he needed to be over the top, to get attention and bring in the money he needed to sell the fights with his banter and mockery. Now he has money, and simply saying "Conor McGregor is the Main Card" brings millions in... he doesn't need to be cocky anymore to get tickets, the tickets come for his name.

@@leighchadwick270 that too God forbid it be a multitude of things. Life would never be so complicated as to having multiple reasons for something. If you are broke it's only because of one reason. We don't show multiple symptoms when we are sick, ever. If you are tired then it's because you didn't sleep well or because you had a long day. It can't ever be both. So it wasn't the combination of Conor having a kid, getting rich (comfy), getting used to a stiff boxing stance, and getting humbled by Khabib. @Xnigma Dude you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about LOL his only losses in the light weight division are to two people who are in the top five. Do you know what the top five means? That means the top five best people in the world. So how we gonna call him washed up? @SeanDerryy
@SeanDerryy 3 жыл бұрын
Saying LOL that many times really does not prove your point
@InTuGuru
@InTuGuru 3 жыл бұрын
@Xnigma And to answer your question yes we will go down that road LOL, go back and watch his fight with Khabib watch his fight with cowboy and watch his fight with Dustin. And tell me he is not elite. He ran through cowboy like a fucking freight train. Granted that was at 170, but still. And it was at the Tail end of Cowboys career. But still. Nonetheless we all know Cowboys a fucking beast. Also, his fight against Khabib was Khabibs toughest fight to date. Conor McGregor actually is the only person that has ever won a round against Khabib in the UFC at the time.Granted he still lost yes, but for him to last the way that he did and for him to defend the way that he did goes to show how good he really is. Because nobody else has really been able to defend the way thatConor defended. Now I understand that everybody assumes if you’re a Connor fan that you’re just a casual fan. I get it. I understand people think he’s overhyped and he’s a shitty fighter who just wins because of his mental warfare. But we all know that that’s not true if we sit down and really watch what this guy is capable of. Go and watch the Dustin fight both of them. The first one and the second one. Even in the second fight Connor was giving Dustin a hard time and Connor was figuring him out, yes Connor did not anticipate the calf kicks but that doesn’t mean he’s not elite. That was his only downfall in that second fight. He wasn’t guarding the calf kicks early enough. Other than that I feel like he was doing just fine. Dustin killed his leg early and that determine the outcome of the fight. More power to Dustin by the way I am a huge fan of that dude, I’m also a huge fan of Khabib as well. I just feel like because of Connors reputation everybody chooses to hate on him and nobody gives him the credit that he deserves. And it’s been like that his entire career. The Connor hate is unjustified . And to answer your other question yes I am a MMA fan, I train, I’ve been watching since 2004 so I guess you could say I know a little bit.

I think he’s lost like most fighters that should retire but don’t. Fighting is a massive adrenaline rush especially with fans there that a lot of fighters become addicted to and struggle to let go of. I also think he’s more interested in boxing than MMA now. He tried to fight Dustin like it was a boxing match. Compared to how Conor used to fight on his toes nearly all the time he was completely flat footed against Dustin which is why his legs were so open. Maybe the Dustin loss will motivate him again because he took it unlike the Khabib loss where he just made a ton of excuses but I doubt it
