Back in 2000 the cops were raiding several houses picking up people for indictments. At about 4am my relative came over to my house. He comes inside, we roll up a blunt, then head back outside. Open the door and the police were walking up 20 deep; 10 on either side. They were about to raid my house looking for my brother (he didn't live with me and they had no warrant). The Captain approached us, took the blunt from my hand and lit it in front of our faces. He then proceeds to take a hard pull and blow the smoke in our faces. All while complimenting us for having good smoke and questioning me about my brother's whereabouts. Cameras are now exposing their dirty deeds, and rectifying things they've gotten away with.

I just don't get this. America is a high crime society. You Yanks blow each other away with guns on a daily basis. European cops are not like this. But US cops are scared you're all carrying loaded guns waiting to use them against the cops. Anyhow cops are scared. The whole country is armed. It's like a wild west movie, almost. Since the cops are scared and some cops are poorly trained and yet other cops are just bullies, it's best to obey them. You yanks are serious. You have your laws and you stick to them. In other countries the cop may turn a blind eye, and let you go, in the US they'll get you for a minor issue. But America is full of Americans. You guys know each other. So how come, you don't know that resisting arrest will get you in trouble. Your police don't give up if you refuse to get out of the car. So get out of the car. Be polite. Obey them. The one dude for example already had a criminal history, he had a probation officer. I mean - really? So he knew already how to deal with the police. So why was he resisting. If a cop says get out, you get out. Then if you want, you sue them. That's how to improve police behaviour. Sue them. But until that time, you obey the police. Resisting police even if you're innocent is a crime. This is not a movie. Stop resisting, and afterwards sue.
@radriel69834 ай бұрын
I don't trust anyone that is legally allowed to lie to me while also in a position of authority like they are. I can accept one or the other, but not both. Regular person? Sure, they are literally allowed to lie except as it concerns specific criminal/illegal activity(fraud and the like). The guys working the desk in city hall? They have authority over handling important things, but they can't lie to me about anything(legally). Cops? They can lie and arrest you. I literally cannot trust them when they are explicitly allowed and even encouraged to lie to me and I've observed first hand they basically do it casually because its a learned habit. You can never tell if they just want help from you as a witness or if they are trying to pin something on you. The well is thoroughly poisoned by this rule.

The problem with resisting arrest, even when you’re completely innocent, is it can prevent you from winning a lawsuit. Even if you’re innocent the best course of action is to comply, and then sue their ass after the fact. But of course it’s easier said than done when you’re being falsely accused.

Me and my boyfriend were once hit in a hit and run. We got the plate number and called 911 right away, and the woman who hit us was brought to the scene. Cops laughed and joked with her, while not allowing us to record the proof of the accident on her vehicle. Then they told us that we were trying to commit insurance fraud and that no report would be filed on the accident. Obviously they knew the woman, and no matter how much proof we had (911 call, medical records from our injuries, damage on the vehicles, etc) they claimed for 2 years there was no wrongdoing. Azaleas can smell like weed... "I was just gardening, officer!"
@flashraylaser157Ай бұрын
I don't think so actually, as much as I've come to distrust corrupt cops. I smell weed any time someone gets in my car who has previously smoked in a closed environment, even if they're not carrying it. So it's very possible to smell it without someone possessing it. That said, it's a major issue that there's no way to determine if they actually smell it so some cops can indeed just lie. Way back when I was about 19 I looked kind of like a stoner and was with a friend who did too. A cop claimed his truck smelled like weed and I basically completely lost it, 0 to 100, cooperative to belligerent, screaming at the cop, even getting his face and asking him to say it again with eye contact so I can see what a bold faced liar looks like. We almost honestly fought and he probably would have put hands on me if he didn't know I was absolutely right. Then when he said everything was cool he tried to leave, still taking my friend's box cutter he illegally seized which he had a right to carry for work. I went after the cop and made him give that back too while berating him haha. Needlessly to say cops didn't like me for years and I had a target on my back due to run ins like this. So why did I flip so hard? The friend was the most straight edge guy I knew, literally, actively disliked stoners, refused to ever drink because alcoholism was in his family, and didn't even smoke cigarettes. The idea that his truck smelled like weed was a flat out lie 100%. When the cop tried to say THAT guy's truck had a major smell of marijuana I knew we were dealing with a completely corrupt cop straight up and down and I lost all fear to act out. Still, as nice as it would have been for that guy to take a charge, it wouldn't be fair for it to happen to cops just doing their job who smell weed that was previously smoked on people. They're not lying in that case and have every reason to think you have it. A better question might be why weed is so illegal in the first place while alcohol, a much more dangerous drug, is perfectly legal.

Im kinda jealous these folks got paid. I've had shit like this happen many times n reported it and nothing happened and I know these r just some who got caught but most officers get away scott free when they do shit like this

@@Allthingzboxing817 I'm so sorry. That must be so scary. Some cops become cops to have some sort of power. But they're still scumbag racist assholes that now have guns. It's beyond my comprehension how people can treat others this way.

It's so sad to see cops like this and it makes cops like my friend look bad. My friend joined to help people and had discovered not all are there for the best of reasons.

VERY happy to hear that this young man was compensated for this crime committed on him by these officers. I am CERTAINLY not anti-cop. I am simply anti-injustice. ⚖️

As someone who smoked weed for over 20 years, there's no way he spotted "shake" on the floor without kneeling down and touching it. shake looks just like anything else you can track in from the bottom of your shoes.

Proves your point when the dude points out it was cigarette ash 😂 I've dropped a whole damn g of it on the floor before, and it still looked like crap from the bottom of your shoes. If it wasn't black carpet , I'd never have found it. The only way to see it properly is to press your hand on it and then get the bits off your hand
