I think she could have been much more friendly and respectful regardless of his position or behaviour. I don't know maybe that´s a typical/normal way to communicate with a citizen for a police officer in the US, but in western Europe where I live, cops are much more friendly and respectful. They don't feel the need or have insecurities that misguide them to make a point by being tough or intimidating. They shine by being friendly and deescalating with respectful manners. That´s much more effective and reduces unnecessary confrontations/trouble and ensures higher efficiency and safety in the long run. Especially because citizens appreciate friendly cops more than those with a chip on their shoulder.

Keeping things calm and neutral until video evidence was reviewed was the proper way to handle it. as he too said "she has a job to do." which was a calm way of backing her up.

The last one is heavily misconstruded for this video. The Judge was pulled over for tailgating and honking at another car. Whether or not that car was an unmarked police officer's car isn't part of the equation. Tailgating is an extremely subjective law as there is no referenced distance and only subject to visual queues, which in this case is not illegal, the cops knew it, the Judge knew it.

And usually the person doing those things is mad because the one in front of them is following the law (the speed limit) aggressive driving leads to road rage which can easily end in violence. The judge pulled over for aggressive driving should have at the very least gotten a verbal warning. No. Instead it was "I'm sorry judge have a good day". NO ONE is above the law

I totally get the frustration, but here is a positive... when the videos do come to light, there is no way you can say "well, the officers were being rude or XYZ". It sucks especially with that one supervisor pulling the "so you know who he is?" card, but again, it just shovels more coals on the fire.

99% of the time these situations turn out just like the last one with the judge. As soon as an officer knows what political power they’re dealing with it’s a “have a nice day”. There’s a chain of command and these officers have careers that depend on them kissing the right butts. These videos are actually misleading because this isn’t the norm.

You should look up the Carter County Oklahoma Sheriff Chris Bryant’s traffic stop…. I was a Deputy for Carter County, and let me tell you….. dude is a fuck head, hands down, worse boss I’ve EVER had in my law enforcement career!! The under sheriff there was the ONLY reason the dept didn’t falter, the under sheriff is a good guy and I’d work for him again anytime he needed me!

Most people who get Excessive Force used on them were acting very Combative and Belligerent with Cop's and Excessive Force was JUSTIFIED in those cases.. This Commissioner didn't deserved to be tased or have excessive force used on her it would have been UNjustified if they had.. Unfortunately, Cop's have to listen to her entitled obnoxious behavior for too long they should have just walked away from her.. She kept saying that the Cop's were a disappointment no true she was the disappointment in this case .

But I've made more than my fair share of bad life decisions and had quite a few encounters with the cops (drugs, dui, arrests). I act polite and respectful and that's how I have always been treated by the cops. Much the same as I see from the cops in these videos. I'm not denying there's corruption or excessive force, all I can say is my real life experiences with the cops have been pretty much exactly the same as what I see here. I will be a little pedantic though and mention that by definition excessive force can't be justified. That's why it's "excessive" ;)

there is a video somewhere in which a polcie officer pulkled over some chief of police who kept his voice down, gave his licence and registration adn got his deserved ticket lke anyone would. Just to point out that if some of them are corrupt, most of them behave -thankfully- normally.

It's almost like had a sunk-cost moment where he was just too far in and he kept lobbing threats to dig himself out.
