WHEN DO I CALL THE VET DURING LAMBING?
WHY IS THE LAMBS YELLOW?
WHEN DO I ASSIST A EWE IN LABOUR?
HOW MUCH COFFEE DO I DRINK? (lol)
Today, I answer your most asked questions regarding lambing time...
Can you believe the oldest lambs in this group are already 6 weeks old??
An update on them, on Betty (the blind ewe), and what's next.
A little bonus if you make it to the end of this video!!

@@janmarch5039, there is no doubt that we all have our shortcomings in life, no one person is perfect. That being said, I dont think Sandi realizes how much of a beautiful woman she is. I'm pretty sure she doesn't beat her kids, sheep or husband. I know for a fact she does everything she can to help that farm run like it does. She takes the time to show us her life, good, bad, ugly and beating. Those hands of hers are absolutely beautiful. I wish I would have had a Mother or sister like her in my life. God has blessed us with her.and I dont mean that in some weird way..just saying.

I agree. I have hands that have nicks, scars, callouses, because I work outside on the cattle ranch, and in my garden and with my goats and chickens. My mom had working hands, as well as my dad. Loved both of them so very much and what their story their hands told. Hard working, to provide for our family. Sandi has hands that tell a beautiful story.

I don't think it's hate as much as differences of opinions on how to raise and treat the animals. There are far left and far right people and everywhere in between. Some just don't know how to express those differences in a nice manner or it just hits Sandie at the wrong time or the commenters. Remember you can't express tone or intention in comments.

Please make videos of all of it. I love watching your content, i love all the things i’m learning. But most of all i Love watching a kick ass woman working harder than some men do. You are my hero, what you do is intense, gruesome, the hours are brutal as is the cold weather. Most of the time you’ve been alone. I’m glad you hired Carissa. You didn’t have any idea what you were in for when you started. This has been an amazing journey, watching you succeed, and then get your feet knocked out from under you, only to have another success 10 minutes later. And you keep on going, which to me is the beautiful part of your journey. Look at what you’ve accomplished so far. You are so impressively hard core. Anything is possible for you. Thanks for taking us on your journey!! One minute i’m biting my nails and a minute later the ewe is loving her lamb. And don’t let the naysayers get in you head!!!! Ever!!!! They are just bitter because they have no courage, no courage to try living their lives at all! Please keep the content coming, you totally Rock!! Thanks you! B

I think I found you when you were lambing and I stuck around for the lambs. You then started to share all the work that you do which I found interesting. I think how you do it is great Sandi. We get a lot of the animals lambing time and then you fill us in with all the work. Us city people need to know how hard our farmers are working and what they do to feed us. Seeing the whole system and how it works and your ups and downs and learning is so refreshing. Please keep it us and how you do it I think is great. By sharing you have started to look deeper into this, and is why I have looked into Mark's channel. I love the seeing of how each system supports and works together to become a good product at the end. Blessings upon you and your family. only suggestion is if you want once a month do the no talking work around your animals compilation, that should give enough animals that those who just want to see them can put those on over and over again. Your animals bring enough of themselves into the shot with their antics that I think you do not need to do more. You are great already. Blessings.

I come to your channel for the whole package! I am not a farmer, but I grew up in farming community, and have a deep respect for you and your work. I do not currently have sheep, but I want to learn and work towards a small personal wool-focus flock. You have been absolutely invaluable in each and every aspect of my gathering education because you reaffirm the value of education in all its forms asking questions, seeking help, and communicating. I watch your videos because you love what you do, even after all these years with all the trials, and because you're not afraid or ashamed to be real and honest about the things you've learned (and the mistakes that may have lead you there). The cute lamb moments are a joy, and while we only share Internet space, I think you're awesome company, however, it's the Real Deal of learning with you that I enjoy the most from your videos. Without you, the thought of doing research to become shepherd to my ow flock would scare me witless. As is, of course it's a big step, but it's one I know can be taken. Thanks for each and every video, smile, tear, lampede, and nugget of wisdom over a cup of coffee, Sandi.

I find the instructional videos very interesting, as I am looking to add a few sheep to my homestead, so I would be lambing 2 or 3 ewes instead of 100, but the information is all good. I also like the 'fluffy' videos, because who doesn't like watching the little leapers jumping around. Your sharing is much appreciated, and your honesty in what goes on is eye opening. Thanks.

Love the videos. Great find during the quarantine, when I have ALOT of time on my hands. How do the birds get in? I go crazy when sparrows try to get into my barn. Also I cant open my barn doors for chores anymore without thinking of you now! Have a great day 🙂

As an artist, I love seeing wrinkles, scars and blemishes. They are beautiful in their own ways. Each mark tells a story and has a history behind them. It tells so much and it proof of the life that you live. I believe your hands are beautiful sandy. Many years of hard work and they have helped life come into the world and care for others. I hope that they heal well! Awesome job with getting the hooves.

I don’t know how I landed on one of your video a year ago, but I was immediately fascinated with what you were doing... I’m not a farmer, I don’t have any live stock either, but I love watching the ewes and the babies... Sandi, you are such a beautiful soul and please don’t allow people’s negativity get to you, you are much much better than they are some people are miserable and the only company they love is misery... Thank you for your videos, I look forward to them everyday now... Sending you love and blessings from Pennsylvania USA 🇺🇸... PS, I love Billy too 🥰🥰🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I agree, Betty’s eyes are looking much better. Even if she has diminished vision she will be safe in the indoor flock. She certainly was not head shy as you were waving your hand. Reading the comments it looks like most viewers are quite happy with your content. YOU are doing a terrific job and I will watch and like whatever you throw at us. Old retired lady who lived the good life on a farm for years. Now in a senior community so watching videos of farming and ranching keeps me entertained and grateful. Thank you for your time and efforts they are so appreciated.

I started watching for the lambs. I still watch for the educational aspect and your honest talk (and being able to admit when your wrong, not many can do this) and the lambs. I have loved learning everything and even the occasional trip to the field, just to pick up rocks. I haven't missed a video in a long time - even if I have to go back to catch up. Keep putting out this type of quality and I'll be here forever. Smile-on Sandi, We love you!!

Hey Sandi, You're doing such an amazing job!! My parents and grandparents used to farm sheep on the little 70 acre farm we own on the Aran Islands in the west of Ireland but not near as many sheep as you've got. We don't farm sheep anymore but instead we farm a small herd of cattle as more of a pastime and love our work. You've an excellent system going and we really do take our hats off to you as you take such pride and care in your work. We are all looking forward to your next video/vlog. From all of us here in Galway, Ireland, well done and thank you for all your videos 👏🇮🇪🍀❤️

I know I will never be a Shepard or a farmer or any sort, but I loved visiting my Uncle’s farm as a child and I think it makes me respect my meat more knowing how hard y’all work. I have so much admiration for your family and all the hard work you guys put in every day.

I love watching all different aspects of your farm life. Business, animals, all the farming with Mark, the kids, everything! I really like learning the business side because I'm a nerd at heart and love numbers and organization but also can't get enough of those animals of yours. Thank you for showing us your life and allowing us to learn from you😁

I'm such a city girl even though I live in an agricultural area (coastal California) but your business is fascinating! And lady, watching you work tires me out, you do it all! I am blown away by the sheer amount of work you all put in to what you do. My grandparents came from southern Kansas so I'm not far removed from farming folk but still, what you do is amazing. The black lambs and ewes are my favorites! So stinking cute!!

Sandi - Great video. Great answers to the questions. Great questions. And a great finish with the lambing recap. Thanks for all you do educating us in the field of sheep. As I've said before, I'm a retired Pastor here in Davenport, Iowa - basically a city kid, but I enjoy everything you and Mark do in your videos. Blessings to you, Mark, and the family.

My favorites: when the lambs are born & when the lambs run the length of the pens. It so cute to see them jumping and changing direction, standing on mommas.

Hi Sandi! I’ve been watching for quite awhile now and I have/had absolutely no knowledge of farming and live in coastal Southern California. I love ALL aspects of your videos - from just seeing the cute little lambs, to learning about the animal care and facts, to the business aspect of farming. It’s opened my eyes tremendously to the importance of farming and how different / yet the same we all are. I’ve never eaten lamb (and don’t know if I ever would, not because I’m a vegetarian but because I’m not sure that I would like it - tried rabbit “by accident” once and 🤢 yuck!) BUT I know that all aspects of farming “make the world go round”. 💜💙☮️💞
