Yes he’s basically saying that because the younger generation has grown up on mumble rap and cadence styled songs rather then lyrical songs that that’s all they’ve ever known and don’t even know what being Lyrical is rather then the people who grew up in the 80’s, 90’s and very early 2000’s where a lot of popular rappers rapped about real life events and problems while also having great lyricism and cadence on top of it. Music was a way of speaking your mind with the possibility of reaching millions with your message. You could think of it as something that the people of the world would use to share their thoughts and concerns that the government would have little influence over. It really was a way to bring the people together but nowadays there’s so much garbage in-between that it’s just not the same.
