It’s silly to throw it around like it’s going to make a difference with the police, but it’s actually a major concern for a lot of law enforcement today. Immunity protects most of them legally but when there’s a lawsuit against law enforcement today it’s almost always career ending. It also costs tax payers hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars per case, and the number of active cases steadily increases everyday. It should be something that responsible law enforcement officers think about. Their responsibility to protect even the rights of criminals goes far beyond just their career and that’s why they take oaths.
