all my life I've loved arts and crafts, and I've bounced between tons of carreer ideas and now I finally think I'm going with graphic design. now matter what I've been into in my life, I've always came back to art.

a huge reason why i started watching LifeBurry videos was because of the ending jingle really hitting home about living my life and following my dreams. and watching meghan do just the that on this channel has inspired me so much. not just by motivating me to get healthy and try new things but also worked as a big reason for why i finally started up my youtube channel like i've been wanting to do for years. if you read this meghan, i just want to thank you so much for everything. you inspire me.

I am 23 and a sophomore in college. It has taken me a long time to get here and I just wanted to say that I appreciate all that was said in this video. You just said what I always needed to hear. Best video by far. As an aspiring composer and musician, there's a lot of ups and downs and, honestly, moments of just complete fear of not doing the right thing. Sometimes we just have to take a chance at the things that make us completely happy, whether we have no money or all the money we could ever need. Kudos to you Megan for doing what makes you happy at the moment and never forget about the thousands that you've touched in the process :D

I fully agree with this! It always bother me when someone mentions their parents or friends expects them to go to college and doing a certain course, when they don't have an interest in it. It's like life is WAY too short to do what pleases others, do things you LOVE, if it turns out you don't like it after all - then at least you've tried, but don't waste time doing something you hate just to please others. It will only be YOU who regrets it at the end of the day.

This is why you're one of my favorite KZfaqrs, Megan. Everything you've said in this video was so wise and fabulous. I 100% agree with you about always doing what you love. "Nothing is a waste of time." When you said that I wanted to stand up and wave my arms around and yell "preach!" That being said, I really enjoyed this video; you should make more content like this. I just finished my first year of college and in that first year I had no idea what I wanted to do, and like you I enjoyed being creative and helping people and i'm still trying to figure that out, and I might be taking a gap year just to sit down and figure out what I am looking for in my life. Thank you Meghan. From beeing a amature dance instructor in a small comunity, I loved the feeling I got when my pupils lit up as they managed dances and hard step. And I helped do that. So I chose to be a teacher. Theory was hard - but after a while I started to get a network of friends, things started to make sense and praxis, oh praxis... well, let's just say that I'm in love of giving of myself, and knowing that I'm gonna contribute to someones future :) Love your vids, they light up my day

This is the first video of yours that I've watched, but if all of your videos are this good, I think this is going to become one of my favorite channels.

This LifeBurry video definitely shows me what it means to live my life and follow my dreams! I can relate so much to this video, and it's just great to know that there's other people out there who feel the way that I do. I'm going into my senior year of high school and I'm still not sure what I want to do! My mind is always changing. I wanted to be everything from a cook to a neurologist. I know I'll figure it out someday!

I just graduated from high school on thursday and im heading into college and this video really inspires me to take a look at what i actually want to do later on. the biggest thing is the difference between what im good at and what i like and where they meet and this video helped me realize that THANK YOU MEGHAN

thank you so much megan, i'm at a point in my life where i'm wondering what the heck i want to do cause i need to get myself to be happy again and i know when i was at the happiest point in my life i was in a band playing shows at least 3 times a week and that made me incredibly happy and also doing photography and anything that has to do with animals so when i finally get a job i'm pretty sure i want to work at a pet store or maybe even a shelter.. gah. you're the best.

Thank you Meghan! I've been having a lot of mixed thoughts lately about what I'm going to do with my life when I get out of high school. I'm just rethinking all of my decisions because all of my peers don't think my dream career is realistic, when it would honestly be the one career where i would be truly happy. I'm so grateful to you for doing this, I'm 17 and I'm the third 'cleverest' in my year at school and the pressure from that sucks! Everyone else wants me to be a doctor, surgeon, lecturer, scientist or something else 'intelligent' but I don't know what I want to do, I'm thinking of taking a year out to teach snowboarding but I just wish people would step back and respect that instead of laughing or saying it's a 'waste'. Wonderful advice! This week I'm graduating high school, so I'm facing this right now! I went through all the indecisiveness of trying to figure out what I wanted to do, and I thought I would never figure it out. But a few months ago, I found a career path that I felt passionate about, and I felt like I would be good at. That was a huge relief, and now I'm more excited than ever to start the next step in my life! Hopefully it works out, but like you showed us, there are still other options!

I feel exactly like this! I never knew what I wanted to be when I grow up, while everyone already knew it. I always told them I didn't want to go to college, and then everyone says: ''Haha, if you're not going to college you're going to be homeless!'' Meghan, great advice. My advice, keep your eyes open so when possibilities present themselves, you are ready to turn them into reality. I didn't know what I wanted to be growing up but my hobby was planes. I built models and flew RC but I wrongly thought a middle class kid can't be a pilot. Only larger than life people can be pilots. My junior year, a random meeting gave me a glimpse of what it takes to be a pilot. I jumped at the chance and with work and fun turned a hobby into a career :)

I can totally relate to this. I always wanted to be an artist, went to college as an art major - then realized I hated art school for a number of reasons, one being that I enjoyed writing more. So that's my new goal - getting published.

Came looking for this video for encouragement. I was so sure I knew what I wanted to do, and I'm halfway through college, and I just realized. I don't know what I want to do. It's so hard, because I don't know if school is really for me. I also have no idea what an alternative could be. Just watching this has helped calm myself a lil bit. this has really inspired me. I know im still only 14 and in the process of deciding my future but ive never really known what ive wanted to do. This year in school I had to choose my options, for those who dont know its when you pick 3-4 subjects you want to do for GCSE, I have no idea what I want to do, so this was really hard for me, but I really enjoy making youtube videos but no one really watched them which made me loose my confidence, so thank you Meghan for giving me my confidence.

I'm 24, suffering from anxiety and depression, and this is something I have struggled with for years. I'm constantly changing my mind, or trying/starting something and realising I don't like it and wanting to stop. And it's so hard because so many people judge me for it. But hearing about other people that have struggled with knowing what they want to do is helpful. Thanks for this video :)

I love being creative, being in the water, helping animals, and doing anything that involves the water and that has helped me decide that i want to be a marine biologist at Sea World Fl. This is the story of my life. I have always been the one not knowing what I wanted. I started college and dropped out too because I too hate school. Now I'm going to try something new and until now I have been really worried that it is not what I want. This really helped me because as you said at least be doing something. I spent 5 years in college and i still do not really know what i want to do, i know the field that i want to go into but i am still trying to figure out what i want to do. I think that it is important that you do what you want to do, college is not for everyone and it does always mean you will know what you what once you are done with college. So remember to follow your dreams and do what make you happy!

My younger sister went through the same exact process as you in High School (with wanting to be a chef then realizing what the stress will do to her) and she ended up deciding to go into interior design. Now she's married with her first baby on the way so she's had to put her interior design education on the back burner and yet she is happier than she's been in a long time. Wanting to grow up to be a mom, it's a noble and legitimate dream. :) Your kindergarten self was wise. ;)

I'm glad you mentioned that college isn't for everyone. It's something I already know and have accepted, but a lot of people don't understand that option. I don't handle school very well at all, and having MORE school literally sounds like Hell for me. And when it comes to areas that involve creativity, I think you'll find that college can only help so much before they would only hamper your creativity, and slow you down.

For the last 5 years I was 100% focused on doing performing arts at college and then going on to a theatre school. It's all I worked towards. But in my spare time I have always drawn and designed posters/logos ect as well as filmed and edited videos for companies. When I went to my college interview for the performing arts course I decided the moment I got there that I wanted to do the Graphic design course instead. And for the first time in so long I feel at ease with myself.
