Thanks for recording the part of the ac unit. The more you know so companies don't try to rip people off, saying we gotta replace the whole unit. That one is a keeper.

In WA state the phone man told me to unplug our cordless phones and use a corded phone during storms or power outages. When the power came on in an area the surge blew panels off the walls and destroyed the phone boxes and inside phones. Didn’t happen all the time, but who wants to take a chance. A surge protector on your home sounds like a good thing to have.
@bethtindall920819 күн бұрын
Buddy, on that vent pipe through the roof, they make vent boots just for that purpose. All of the caulk in Texas won't work for long due to the metal expanding and contracting. Just check with a roofing contacting company. Good Luck!
@galady863219 күн бұрын
It's great news re the a/c unit. When i finally locate the home I want to purchase I intend to add a whole house surge protector. It makes sense to me. If I am not mistaken it can lower homeowners insurance premiums. Buddy, this might not be worthwhile but I wanted to mention it. After you pack more sand under the concrete pad maybe consider digging a narrow trench around the concrete pad. Lay either landscape timber or treated 4x4s in the trench so they are near the middle of the thickness of the slab. Secure the wood with 10" rebar, or whatever length you think appropriate. It would be similar to a transition piece for flooring. Not very expensive but we know that usually = laborious installation. If treated wood on dirt doesn't work for you maybe check into the composite option. Definitely more expensive but that's usually one-&-done aka fairly indestructible. (Composite would be my first choice. It would probably last longer than the slab.) Hopefully better weather is in your future! Your channel is awesome! The Denman family is a fine example of how family life should be - supportive, caring, respectful and funny.

Hi guys so sorry about the leak in the barn and the AC unit problem but glad the AC got fixed easily and hopefully the leak will be also ! Maybe y’all need to put a board up around the slab once y’all put more foam and sand under it ti keep it from washing out again and hopefully it will keep the support in place ! Climate change is no joke it’s happening. All over the world and getting worse each year !! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈

I have a surge protector on my house at the meter. The electric company installed it and it cost me $5.00 a month, but if it ever fails the electric company has to pay for any and all repairs or replacement. You may want to check with your electric company and see if they offer you the same service.

At the storm two weeks ago, the wind sheared a pole going up into our “old” church steeple and the whole thing crashed to the ground, grazing the front porch roof. The men have already dismantled it and covered the hole into the atrium of the church that is now the fellowship hall. It is sad thing to see as that building was built when I was 9 yrs old in 1963-64.

Hey, Buddy. I feel for y’all dealing with the weather. It seems like here in Oklahoma we can’t get rain unless it comes with wind, hail, tornadoes. We got a couple of inches of rain in May because we had a tornado coming at us. Fortunately it veered off and missed us. Since then we’ve gotten 1/4 inch rains about every 2weeks since. Looks like we’re in for another summer of hot and dry. Love y’all. Be safe.❤❤

Whew dodged a bullet on that one big time my sister and nephew both had to replace units this past year one was $11,000 and the other over $12,000 talk about a bite out of the nest egg. We have lots of straight line winds out here and where having an umbrella is nice they don't do well in those type of winds. Have a good night and may your days be blessed stay safe
@celesteredding155019 күн бұрын
Try "Flex Seal" around the piping. It comes in foam spray & paint on applications. It seems like mother nature is giving Texas an over abundance of rain from the droughts of a couple of years ago 😢. Hi Luna sweet girl 👋🏾🥰.

From repairing RV roof leaks. Your best bet is to get some of the tape like Dicor that is made to stop water leaks. Several brands available. put your regular sealant on roof, cover when it sets with the Dicor or Flexseal waterproof sealing tape (or other brand) and maybe even spray on that waterproof spray made by Flexseal. I defy any water to get through that. It comes in colors so you can match the roof.

Hi Buddy, Steph and Luna, I’m so sorry Morrow Hill is dealing with so much excessive weather. Last year drought, this year flooding. Have you thought of digging a trench along the concrete slab and filling it with concrete or railroad Timbers or landscape edging? There has to be someone who knows an answer. I google or go to Home Depot and ask experts what they recommend. For the roof, I would think adding a rubber gasket to the roof opening plus the sealants should work.
@deborahrains482819 күн бұрын
I haven't read any comments but I want to say that high winds will move the pipe use a roofing sealer my late husband says it has to be flexible and that's what it's made for. Poor puppy.
