Colin Mochrie is the Canadian man who is slightly balding. Ryan Stiles is the tall one and he's American from Washington state I believe. Ryan had a roll in the Drew Carey show in addition to Whose Line is it Anyway. And yes it was a British show first with Clive Anderson hosting. All the improvisers on that show are fantastic though :)

I lost it at Julie Jerkoff. I was in the break room at work and busted out laughing so hard I got some very strange looks lol. I remember the Dimples the Clown one. Whose Line is it Anyway? was originally a Channel 4 show that started in 1988, ten years before the US version. It was created & produced by Mark Leveson & Dan Patterson, who went on to produce the US version as well as create and produce Mock the Week. One of the reasons their names are more recognisable than most producers is that the UK version usually ended with the contestants reading the credits in a particular style, meaning their names were read out most weeks. Americans Ryan Stiles and Greg Proops as well as Colin Mochrie, who though raised in Canada was born in Scotland, had the most appearances on the UK version and then went on to star in the US version. Some recognisable UK performers who appeared numerous times include Paul Merton, Josie Lawrence, John Sessions, Sandi Toksvig & Caroline Quentin.

The British improvers mostly were not great on the UK version. Many had extremely thick accents and some kind of bawdy humor or something where it seemed like they couldn’t make something up so they referenced something others would know in England.
