Been 6 months since my 8 year relationship finished. She left for some rich businessman. I hear they are getting married this year. Been in no contact for 3 months. Today is the first day its stopped hurting. The best ive felt in 6 months. I feel back in control of my emotions. My advice to anyone who is going thru a storm at the moment, put all your energy into not reaching out and stick to no contact. Get in the gym or do something productive. A day will come where you realise no contact is working cuz you'l stop giving a damn & be ready to move on.

Love breakups. Going through one now and I feed off them and use the negativity as fuel to level up. There is no growth in being comfrotable. Forget your ex. Let them go out and recreate the same problems with someone new as they did with you all the while you’re taking it straight to the face and learning how to not just cope but thrive. Peace out brothers and sisters and just remember pain is temporary.

Some exes get back together years later so I don't think there's a deadline for someone to wait for their ex to come back but at the same time I think you just got to focus on building your character back up

⁠DETACH By going no-contact. It creates emotional disconnect and helps you to see “the ex” clearly, instead of through rose colored glasses. If they discarded you, THAT IS how you HAVE to remember them…as someone who was cruel and threw you AND WHAT YOU BUILT away as rotten trash. It requires rewiring the brain though. The brain wants to fix a problem. So it keeps you strategizing “the how” to fix it but THE ONLY way to truly disconnect and detach is by going no contact.

NC for well over a year. No fighting, no issues that I know of? Lots of promises from her about being together for life. She left a great relationship with no rhyme or reason, at least not one that she will tell me about. There must be a reason, but she will not talk. Likely someone else? The part that hurt is being in love with the person still. It is not easy to walk away. It’s not easy to move on. I still feel like I’m waiting for something that may never happen. I reached out to my ex after a year, not to get back together, more a friendly reaching out to see how he was. I had finally forgiven that he broke my heart. He said he is in a new relationship, can’t be in communication with me, and that he misses me. He was moved on. I wished them happiness and we said our goodbyes. Time for me to close this chapter for good. Loving someone and losing people we love is part of life. It will never be fully ok. But once we have lived through the pain, we can wish them happiness and grateful for this fragile, impermanent life.

I think the answer is yes. I'm past 40 days NC and although id love to hear from her I won't reach out. Even if I did and she responded positively I don't think I could stand to see her smug face as she walked back in like nothing happened and id be this emotional wreck and she'd be like yeah I've been fine all this time. i'm not breaking NC. it's been 7 months and i really thought she'd come back but she hasn't. breaking NC won't help matters though. it's not going to suddenly make her be cool with me again. and while i kind of want to talk to her again i doubt i'll ever be able to get past the contempt she has shown me. so even if she does come back i'd merely ask her some tough questions she probably wouldn't be able to answer.

No one I have ever watched has explained No CONTACT the way you do. Especially from the feminine and masculine perspective and what each should be doing. Things make so much sense this way, and gives people a game plan rather than just sitting back and hoping the other will come towards you.
