I was born and raised in Texas as well and grew up practically immersed in the Hispanic (specifically Mexican) culture. Since I met my boyfriend who is from New York, I've been wanting to introduce him to it. And now that I've watched this video, it has re-ignited my desire to learn Spanish. My dad (fully Hispanic) didn't want to teach it to me because he didn't want me to have an accent. And especially living where I do, it would incredibly helpful to me in the job world.

Im Hispanic, and I lose my fluent Hispanic accent, and I just say “I just querido tacos, papá”
