We cannot define rich or poor. A boy in his class said " I come from a poor family,our house is built on 10 acres land and we have only 42 rooms and some servant quarters,my dad once bought a helicopter and we have only 10 different cars like Lamborghini, Ferrari, BMW, Mustang, Audi and some normal brand. The chef who cooks food for us he is poorer than us,he lives an a small house built in 1 acres land with a swimming pool and he drives a BMW and Mustang,he has a BMW motorbike which he sometimes ride,and the helper that works in our chefs house is poorer than him,he lives in a 4 bhk apartment,he has 2 cars and every year he travel overseas with his family on vacation,so we all are very poor and have little money "

In the 90s and early 2000 Bollywood actors did not make as much money like now. Most big budget movies had 2 to 6 crore budget. Then big actors started getting one crore per movie. It's only in the last 10 years because of growing Indian economy and building of multiplexes that movies started making big bucks. Starting movies like 3 Idiots.

Most people are missing the point. He's saying that since he spent all his savings to buy his dream house he didn't have any money left to afford a professional interior designer for the house. So he turned to his wife who studied interior designing and over the years they slowly bought things which they wanted, for their house. He didn't specifically go to South Africa to buy leather. When they were there, they bought the leather. That's what he means.

Perhaps, the most sensible comment here! SRK, even after being the Richest Actor in India is NOT stupid to go to another country, just to buy the leather sofa covers. That must have been between one of his shooting schedules in SA back in the days. I have seen a documentary video when SRK paid for a ride in London. The rider had asked for 50 pounds and SRK gave him 3 twenty pound notes ans waited for his 10 pounds. Although it was probably 15-20 years ago. The respect he showed in getting back his chane is something you all would appreciate. Mind you he was a huge Star, even then! 🎉😂🎉
