I used to listen to My Dinner with Andre as a podcast whenever I feel depressed. The audio plays while I do my basic rountine work. I have watched it once but I have listened to it countless times. There are other movies like 'Night Mother(based on a play), Joyful Mystery by Don Palathara that uses similar structure.

It’s a great comfort to sit with Wally and Andre. I considered several movies, and almost did an entire additional sequence on Certified Copy, but decided to save it for a Kiarostami video.

"In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace - and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock" - Orson Welles, an excerpt from 'The Third Man' It's just so interesting how creative restrictions can often lead us to new possibilities of great art.

Thank you! It’ll likely slow to biweekly after the first few are out, but I wanted to start developing a backlog

Hello! I just came across your channel yesterday evening and have watched nearly every video on here so far, starting with the one on Slow Cinema. I really appreciate your passion and how deep you go into these subjects, and the way you tie it all together between various mediums. Needless to say, you have a new viewer here, and looking forward to whatever's next.

I cannot express how much that means to me. Thank you so much. My only intention with this channel is to share my love of movies and start discussions about them. I so appreciate the kind words and the time you’ve taken to write them.

Were you an art teacher in college or School? Do you feel like you also restricted yourself in school or in the content of your channel, and to what extent? If you don't Mind me asking of course. P.S Great Video!

I have taught English, philosophy, film production, speech, and creative writing at the high school level, and restrictions are typically just in the nature of creation. I’ve found that embracing those restrictions can help people conjure more creativity and problem-solving skills than unlimited freedom.

6:29 Emotional "residence"? Not *resonance*?
@creativedestructionvideo Жыл бұрын
I have resonance written, but I think my mouth didn’t do the right thing in my voice over recording. I typically will try to catch that and fix it before posting, but oh well. Good find, and thank you for pointing it out! I appreciate you

Its weird that the art of conversation is dead and the unitary movment of gaming has lead to endless remakes. A digital format taking the intuitive creative acts into a virtual somnambulistic filmic neo hogarthian 30 second attention span.
