I knew I wasn't getting the job when the interviewer looked at my ID for 2min straight. Another time when I was just starting out, the interviewer saw that I had mostly restaurant experience and asked me why don't I apply to a fast food place instead of trying to come to the corporate world. I knew I wasn't getting the job when the ENTIRE staff was standing at the front desk when I turned in my application and they gave me that horror movie smile, the kind that acts nice and then they move in for the kill. I didn't even get to the interview stage. I kept asking how soon I would hear from them and all they would say was, "We'll call you". Probably a blessing in disguise because years later, the head lady got into some trouble, I think with either the local or federal government. I think she had to resign or they fired her

Same thing happened at a hospital in my area. The surgeon killed and maimed 30+ people until someone finally did something but other hospitals knew he was performing surgeries wrong and he'd openly make comments about "being god" but they didn't hold him accountable and just waited for him to leave the hospital. Currently a guy that was on the news for child SA is practicing medicine in Seattle WA like nothing. People who don't turn in these criminals need to be harshly penalized.
