When and how to use DEPUIS, PENDANT and POUR in French. The three of them are prepositions of time and they can all be translated to FOR (also since and during).
► DEPUIS is used to talk about an ongoing action. It's always used with the present tense.
► PENDANT is used to talk about a specific timeframe. It can be used in the present, the past or the future.
► POUR is used to talk about a future duration. It's always used in the future.

I wish you could always add 10 questions at the end of the all videos (in conjugation course too), those are really helpful. before, I was only using Depuis and pour. luckily now I know the pendant!

So "pour" used on Question #3 is grammatically correct but not the way French would say? Does the duration of time matter such as a moment vs a long time to use pendant or pour? Or I just need to remember it? Merci.

It just sounds more natural but it's fine to use pour as well. Usually we use pour with specific timeframes, 2 weeks, a month, etc I hope it helps :)

Depuis can be sued with other tenses but never as a translation to the English one "I have been". I just published a video about depuis with other tenses :)
