It's exactly the type of person many police forces choose. Angry, stubborn, and uneducated. Perfect for abusing the rights of citizens. People say that not all cops are bad but any of that officers coworkers could have fought on behalf of the victim and chose not too. Cops who don't call out their coworkers are just as bad as the abusers, if one apple is bad all of them are bad.

About as ironic as that asshole cop citing SAFETY reasons for using excessive force to get into her apt. Guarantee she had worse injuries from them than that scratch on the neck they were so concerned about. Cops like this give them all a bad name and contrary to popular belief that IS how it should be. Cause in a profession like theirs where a “bad apple” can cause so much harm, even one is too many, and they should stop protecting each other.

This is why i wish i was a trust fund baby. I want to fully automate the police force. In Dubai, they have drones enforcing traffic laws. In japan, they have robotic atms that follow fraud or theft suspects and take pictures. My point is that if you take the human ego out of the equation, people might actually be treated better. The problem is that we are still at least 20 years before we actually have a prototype that can actually perform complex tasks like law enforcement. But i really with all my heart feel that the only way to fix policing is to take the human out of the equation. If i was rich i could hire a bunch of smart people and cut that time in half.

The first one pisses me off because depending on your state it's actually totally legal for the cop to yank you out of the car and arrest you for "disorderly conduct". I was looking up the specifics of it in my state and it straight-up says it's "not hard" to be charged for this "crime" because it's largely based on the opinion of the cop, and you absolutely can be arrested for being "disrespectful" to the police, or even something like "cursing loudly in public". It's completely ridiculous.
@greenblood1211
@greenblood1211 3 ай бұрын
case law prevents police from being a complaining party, however, this does not mean they can't arrest you. If the police officer is the only one present when the alleged conduct happened, then the charges are likely to be dropped, if not filed at all. If there is other people around, they might try to get them listed as a complaint. this is extremely problematic cause a police officer could hold you for a day or two without having you charged, which could cause you to miss work, and be fired. Which is something they can use to punish you for challenging them.

Shut your mouth and quit talking. Okay? And I can talk to you and let you know why we're doing what we're doing, and what's going on." The last one was the mildest. They didn't arrest anyone. Can't tell how rough they were with her, but didn't seem terrible. I just don't know what they were expected to do aside from detain her. They believed the offender was still inside, and she was denying entry. So from their perspective, if they leave the offender would likely feel emboldened and they could be coming back the next day to investigate her body. The reason officers need to meet certain criteria to leave claims of a domestic situation is because it has happened before... where officers backed off and ended up coming back soon after for a post-mortem investigation. --- Now, as for the third story... it was the most brutal one. If I was there at the time, I'd probably be arrested for punching an officer in the face. They were making D&D murder hobo parties look gentle.

yea well thats why you listen to the cops, clearly the female officer was very respectful towards her only trying to help her. The officers had probable cause because they had just gotten a call about an alleged altercation, and then discovered a fresh scratch on her neck which probably wasn't a coincidence because she wouldn't answer where that was from. On top of that back-up was called because she was not cooperating and she was being a bum, so they were done playing back and forth but she tried interfering with the officers investigation and was moved aside slightly forcefully because she was resistant. People try to pull up all kinds of bs of how they know more about the law than the officers and do not listen, causing them to get themselves in more trouble. I will agree though that every other video shown besides the last one was absolutely not okay and the officers should have been delt with large consequences. @@alexanderdeis687 no, simply calling the police does not provide them with probable cause to search a person's residence, courts have to assume that the caller could be lying about the situation, as it's happened before where a person calls the police falsely accuses someone of something just to get the police to make contact with that person in hopes that something like this might happen. The only way of having any sense of probable cause is if the caller is willing to testify, and even that is questionable. Edit: even if they did have probable cause to enter the residence, and found the man, they would still need the victim to confess to the abuse to have probable cause to arrest the boyfriend. Perhaps the sister could've provided the probable cause in that circumstance, however, without the victim they would be forced to release him especially if that victim would protect him by providing a false statement. Remember they didn't make contact with the sister till they had already restrained the victim, and forced entry, which means the sister could not have provided probable cause to enter.

@@kgoblin5084 It is actually a lot. Even if we naively assume that there are no more cases than those we see videos of, it's a horrific kind of situation that I wouldn't want to risk myself being involved in. I also wouldn't go to a country with a much greater risk of suddenly being murdered by a drug cartel. Innocent people are being abused by authority figures, and they are basically at their mercy. Against a common criminal an innocent person can at least fight back, however slim or great their chance of winning is. That is hardly the case when your enemy is a corrupt cop. Sure, it doesn't happen to everyone, but it is still a systemic issue that is especially common in the US. Furthermore, they are especially trigger happy in the US.
