She was probably "sh!t testing" him, seeing how easy it would be to get him to agree with her nonsense about inauthentic and insincere crying. Personality-disordered women on the narcissistic spectrum are absolute toxic control freaks and their greatest fear is exposure of how awful they are, so they have to start out slowly so they don't scare away the men they are trying to entrap. The guy in the video had very healthy boundaries and was sending the message that he knew what she was doing and was also exposing the fact on video that she was highly manipulative.

For men, if they show their emotions or cry, they're often made fun of or would be judged but if a woman cries or gets emotional it's seen as "empowering", they get sympathy from others around them and they are comforted.
