Quran: A Book of Signs Besides logic, there exists scientific evidence that God exists. He explained the beginning of the universe over 1400 years ago in the Quran, which was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him); long before modern science discovered them. Scientists have now observed new stars forming out of the remnants of smoke, suggesting the galaxies, stars, planets and other celestial bodies were nothing but a cloud of smoke or a highly dense gaseous mass. “Then He directed Himself to the Heaven while it was smoke and said to it and to the earth ‘Come [into being] willingly or by compulsion.” [Noble Quran 41:11] Today, we know, just like a satellite, the moon orbits around the earth and the sun revolves around the center of the galaxy, taking approximately 225 million years to complete one circular orbit. God mentioned orbits of the sun and the moon and the fact each travels with its own motion. “It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.” [Noble Quran 36:40] We may not be able to see and hear God, however, His signs are all over the earth for us to see. Mountains have large underlying roots and only a small part of it shows above the surface. What remains of the structure is buried deep underground. “Have we not made the earth a resting place, and the mountains as stakes?” [Noble Quran 78:6-7] The scientific theory of plate tectonics, which was discovered in the late 1960s, tells us mountains act as a balance for the earth, without which the earth will not be firm. This means mountains prevent the earth from shaking. “He has cast into the earth firmly set mountains, lest it shift with you.” [Noble Quran 16:15] Likewise, consider how thunderstorm clouds are formed and produce rain, hail and lightning. This has been summarized in the Quran: “Do you not see that Allah drives clouds? Then He brings them together, then He makes them into a mass, and you see the rain emerge from within it.” [Noble Quran 24:43] One of the most interesting discoveries of modern science is in the places where two seas meet. There is a barrier between them, dividing them so each sea has its own salinity, density and temperature. This can be seen in Egypt between the Nile River and Mediterranean Sea, as well as in Canada between the Fraser River and the Georgia Strait, which is an arm of the Pacific Ocean. God mentioned the existence of this barrier: “And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter. And He placed between them a barrier and a forbidden partition.” [Noble Quran 25:53] No component of this earth is too small to be significant. Little creatures like bees are signs of the existence of God for us to reflect. Science has revealed bees collects nectar from flowers of different kinds to form honey within its body. God had earlier stated this fact, also highlighting the healing properties of honey. “And your Lord inspired to the bee, ‘Take for yourself among the mountains, houses, and among the trees and [in] that which they construct. Then eat from all the fruits and follow the ways of your Lord laid down [for you].’ There emerges from their bellies a drink, varying in colours, in which there is a healing for people. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought.” [Noble Quran 16:68-69] Even modern scientists cannot successfully imitate any of these creations. Why then do we doubt the existence of God? “DO THEY NOT CONTEMPLATE WITHIN THEMSELVES?” [NOBLE QURAN 30:8]

Wallahi this really hits home ! Too much ! I am from Iran, Allah guided me to the Sunnah after I was misguided ! My dad dislikes my Islam and my mom forces me to be Shia. Wallahi it can be annoying ! May Allah guide us all !

It's usually a more convoluted case, especially so because everyone today has gotten a negative view of people practicing Islam (or religion in general) passionately and sincerely. It's easy to fall under the idea that too much zeal and enthusiasm can blind you from the true deen and give malicious people the ability to control you through your good intentions. That's the biggest fear of a muslim fatherand mother, that the greatest thing in this world, your Islam, leads you to destruction by e.g. suicide bombing. It's the same concerns I've had to tackle, and the best way to do so is as this video states to be pacient, appreciative and understanding albeit firm in your belief as well as aware of anything that might use your good intentions wrongly. I've learned to appreciate my parents apprehensiveness, first of al because they aren't sarcastic nor hurtful about the way they show their concern (which isn't the case for everyone sadly), but secondly and most importantly because they give me a check and make me question everything I do. Is this for Allah swt? Am I doing this because a Sheikh said so? What makes sense and what doesn't? With the help of what I've learned from mister Nouman as well as other Islamic speakers, what does the holy Quran ACTUALLY say about things compared to the general understanding muslims have? My parents good-hearted criticisms lead me further through the path more safely, and although they and I make mistakes, we ask forgiveness from Allah swt for whatever we may be wrong in doing ourselves.
