Good news: the soldering turned out to not be a practical solution, so I've showed an alternative wire splicing method not requiring soldering.

Yup. I don't want people to have a bad experience and feel cheated.

Yup, might actually happen at some point. We'll see how much demand there is.

I haven't tried, but in theory you could adjust the fan duct. Or even simpler, a fan adapter piece. I might make one if there's enough interest.

I'm working on the assembly video which shows the soldered cables, but I won't be showing the actual soldering (unless there are multiple requests).

@@MihaiDesigns Soldering can be quite the trick especially soldering in place.

Hey Alexandru, some say it should work with MK2S and MK2.5S because the X axis is the same. We'll have to wait for someone to test and confirm.

That's a good question. I didn't realize there is an end stop there. You can probably use the stock X ends with the end stop, but there is no X stop nub on the extruder side. It might be just a matter of extending the carriage down a bit. Hard to tell by how much from the few photos I could find. If that would work then I can provide a modified carriage.

yup! i might just "heat" drill some bolt holes on the X left X end to fit the switch. If you look here at step 65 you can see where the stop nub goes. help.prusa3d.com/en/guide/3-e-axis-assembly_48816

I don't have any data on this. In general the design is not supposed to improve the print quality. It's supposed to potentially help with clogging and servicing if that's something you need. If you don't have such issues, then I would not recommend this extruder.
