5 жыл бұрынWelcome back to the Scrap Mechanic Challenge Mode! Today we are in the challenge mode builder, continuing the Mini Golf course! This time we are working on hole 8. Holes 7, 8, and 9 will focus on multi ball challenges, where in order to unlock the white ball to finish the challenge, you will have to first complete a series of holes where specific colored balls must go into their matching hole. This one gets really complex with 9 total balls, each with their own designated hole!

Do like a piece of every hole you made so it’s like what have you been trough Ex:hole 1 should be the start but instead of putting the hole at the end you should make a tube with a back board going down to hole 2 or whatever you want.maybe give some key parts from each hole or something,either way that’s my idea hope to anybody who reads this likes it. 🙃 👌👌👌👌 But remember,a PIECE,not the entire hole except hole 1!

Kaplinko is an obvious choice here as far as "the final part before the finish hole"(how you decide where the hole sits at the bottom depends upon how the ball interacts with kaplinko on average) but what about a "reverse upward piston wave"? what i mean by that is a piston wave that goes uphill feeding the ball from the lower one to the one above until it reaches the top hit point; so you have to hit the ball past all the platforms at the right time. Another option is to do the classic "which hole is correct?" element as in there is '3' holes and only 1 will get the ball to the hole the quickest, the 2nd one will get it there but with a few additional hits and the 3rd will be an instant out of the map but make it a fun convoluted way(like it drops into the hole and is launched up and over the course right in front of you etc...) while keeping the theme of multiple staged balls so 3 for my idea total; but at each point the chance of the ball resetting is higher than normal.

for hole nine you should make a ramp with a piston at the end so it jumps and a curved sloped wall turn that the ball is supposed to ride on

A puzzle element: having to use one ball to fill a hole for another ball to go over. Maybe the filler ball could be released from the hole afterwards, or just have it be useless for extra confusion.

Maybe for the 9th course you should make it a giant spinning platform and there’s 1 ball on each end of the circle and you have to hit it through a small hole then maybe if it’s to easy or it’s not hard enough then you can put one more challenge in that 9th one

For hole 9 do something like a hole teaser where when you hit a specific colored ball it moves the hole away from it, you just gotta have to find the correct timing and spot to do it.

Hole 9 needs ball cannons/launchers, and/or a GIANT mechanical golf club that is needed to hit the last ball across a huuuuuge gap. This will also make aiming a challenge to increase the difficulty for the 9th hole. (Of course this should be only the very last in a series of other obstacles leading to the big finale)

Hers an idea. You can use a fliping pad that lanches your ball out of the place and then you can make a thing somewere far out to catch the ball and get activated to activate something else far away

my next idea is, make a lot of pipes, so balls are rolling inside it, and make a lot of them, like A LOT, something like a maze, with straight pipes, curved pipes, moving pipes and rotating pipes :D

I think it would be cool if the player had to use a crane like contraption with a club to hit the ball into one or more holes depending on how hard it is. Or if the player had to actually build something to hit/push the ball.

ya know whats better minecarts the carts will be moving if your white ball landed on the carts and you must golf the ball(black) into the switch in order for the carts to travel but theres a catch there is a track puzzle that must be solved with balls that matches the color of the gems like yellow for gold,brown for copper,cyan for diamond,purple for sapphire & green for emeraled and the finish hole is right at the end of the tracks just golf it and its finish. scrapman hope you like my idea.

as the last hole, just have a straight path to the hole with a censor in the middle of the path and when it senses the ball it disconnects and moves half the path away at fast speed and moves back like a troll hole but its still possible with luck

Make one part of the hole that your successes depends on just luck ( like the ball comes down from a hole and lands in like two ramps that go in different directions)

Do a long drop hole that they have to land in one of them tubes it's the last hole make it near impossible multi step drop holes from top of the box to the bottom 👍

Make a maze, and each dead-end is a different socket that requires a unique ball, you have to guide the balls through the maze to unlock the final white hole and complete the challenge.

For the last hole do it so that when the ball falls off the side it gets caught by a massive thing of blocks so that it does not respawn so that it has to be done in one go

If you didn’t add the logic, you could have had the spawn era constantly dropping, and after getting all holes, a staircase will open in the floor, taking you down, to a hole with less of a ceiling, skinny paths into the holes, and the same spawned making the balls

If you had seen my idea, im changing my hole 9 idea. So you will be having 8 multi colored balls at the exact same time. Some of them you dont need, but you only learn that by Proccess-of-elimination. Each of those 8 colored balls will have a path/section from the previous 8 holes Also, if you do get a wrong ball, it hinders the only way for the final ball to reach its goal. Once you get the correct colored balls in, the path completes for the final ball(make it harder than the other previous holes for difficulty). So when you make it in, some cheering noises happen, and you finally complete the challange. I hope you take the time to read this and understand how complex this became. P.S: As far as i know(from someone who never played SM), i think you have the only golf challange pack in the steam workshop. Man im rambling too much again, hope you manage to get something similar to this in hole 9 :)

how about putting puzzles in the next hole how about ball balancing as in there will be elevators and the like that will lift the ball up but, if the ball isnt alibned the ball will fall from the elevators
