Yeh in future they will divide the airport into 2 halls, one with natural air and second with an air cleaner and you have to pay to sit in the second Hall and the same may happen with flights

Yup! In most foreign airports, especially in Asia, as soon as you exit TSA, you MUST walk through Duty Free shops before you get to the gates. No alternative paths. And if you stop to look, even for a split second, a clerk will be right next to you to "assist" you.

I've literally paid about $20 CAD at an airport for a charging brick. Left mine in my checked luggage and my phone was dying so I didn't really have a choice when my flight was in 3 hours.

Most stores@airports charge a premium for their products. While in Tokyo Airport, we preferred to buy drinks from the supermarkets like Lawson’s etc… we spent a total of 10000¥ for the 3 of us to eat onigiris & try out the different drinks. There are indeed cheaper options while at airports… one just needs to find out where. It would be mighty interesting if u could make a video of all the cheap places to eat at various international airports for people on a tight budget!:) I would recommend the staff canteens@Changi International Airports if one needs a cheaper meal with a drink & dessert thrown in. 😊

A few years ago on my last flight to TX, had to pay everything with a DEBIT CARD 😢 I asked for a water bottle first, and the crew said Oh $7 😁 so then i asked, Ok, then can i just have water in a cup please? Nope, that was costing $5 card only 😢 I wasn't notified about card usage, and I only carried cash. Needlessly to say, I ordered a lot of cups with ice. The only thing to keep me hydrated on a freaking 6hour flight.

Once I was flying with Turkish Airlines from Europe, and they offered not only water for free but also a dish 😯 I was shocked, it wasn't long flight, maybe 3-5 hours. And not first class.

I usually carry tea bags with me because when travelling you never know what kind of tea they have in hotels and the sad reality is that they charge the price for tea when asking for just hot water. You can ask for hot water to heat baby food though which is usually free ;)

My dad worked at airport for like 10 years and says that the workers would collect paper cups from Dustbin and then rinse them and dry them in oven and use it again this way the money made from this would directly go into their pockets as there is an count of cups/bowls provided and the evaluation is done based on it 😂

@@madeleinegulas2273 I was thinking that very thing but could only articulate the "Eeewww". I've seen collapsible travel cups which I must get. But I also have to thermos that I travel with cause I never know if I want a hot or cold drink. One has hot tea (or other hot drink); and, the other is for a cold drink (ice cold water, juice, ice tea or what have you). It's enough beverage to last a full day. 😏. The travel cup will come in handy if I choose to share a drink with another family member or if I happen to not have my thermos with me.

I was few years ago in Deutschland and in the airport was tea for free! Self-service. There were also some cafes. But there was also place with free water (hot and cold) and teas and probably coffee too.

That is why you get the Capital One Venture X Business credit card for Priority Pass restaurants. Most travel credit cards now only have Priority Pass lounges. Difference between gourmet meals in restaurants or snacks in lounges. Chase travel credit cards stop on June 30, 2024. In BOS airport you can bring an empty water bottle or one filled with ice and then use the free water bottle refilling stations.
