My cat died last night. She died in my arms. She was my only companion when I had nothing in this world and showed me so much love that it helped me get through those days. I miss her so much. Thanks for this video. The love she showed me will be with me forever

I remember the day I was at the vet and he told my apparently healthy, 15yo cat I grew up with would only live another 1 or 2 months, my world collapsed, I had to swallow the pain and the tears to understand what the situation was and what could and could not be done. Later, all alone in the car I erupted in a cry but then I realized I still had to explain everyone at home the situation so I pushed the pain back again to drive home. It's still a source of great pain to me after years and now that I have another cat I fear the moment I will have to say goodbye to her. As you said, you have to cherish each day and learn to cope with loss, there's no way around it. Goodbye Vincent, you loved and were loved.

This helped. I just lost my cat on Monday. He was 9y & 9m old. It turned out he was having issues breathing. I took him to the vet and was told that he had some fluid in his lungs. they also located a tumor at the base of the heart and near the lungs. I was told that they could possibly take the fluid out. But I would need to take them to a specialist about the tumor. Unfortunately he never made it to that. He started taking a turn for the worse rather quickly. He was going into distress. So I had to let him go. He was my first boy baby. My couch cuddler and my buddy. This was such a difficult choice to make. Unfortunately his little body gave out. I’m beyond sadness & I feel like the hole in my heart will never be filled. He too was a black cat. I can say with certainty that he was well loved & cared for and he knew that. Rest in paradise my dear sweet boy Cash. Until we meet again for eternal couch cuddles.

I lost my cat a month and a half ago. Caring for him through his illness was beautiful. His dying was not hard. Living without him is.

My 13 years old cat died 7 hours ago and man oh man, does this hurt. She was the first pet I raised by myself as an adult. It was so hard to watch her die, but I'm glad she was able to at home, in our bed, with us by her side. She was my ride or die and we've been through so much together. I just lost my cat tonight. He was my world, my everything. I was staying at a friends house to escape my noisy house and concentrate on my studies. I came home after 2 weeks and went to see my cat, who had just gone out for the night. No big deal, right? I called and called him, he never came back, i looked everywhere, in the house in the garden, on the streets. I prayed he would come home. Nowhere. This continued for 3 days. I thought maybe he was getting food from a neighbor and didnt want to come home. Tonight i found him. Laying under the shed. He had choked on his own vomit and his body remained there for days. I cries for hours while digging him a grave. He was only 4 human years old, i am devasted and sharing my loss has helped me. I never thought losing a pet was this big a deal until now. He was a part of my family. I am going to miss him. R.I.P Oreo. I hopw to see you in heaven.

Last Friday I had to put my cat, Honey, down. I'm 11, and she was only 8 or 9, so I've spent practically my whole life with her. I still talk about her as if she's still alive. Tonight it was really hitting me hard. I remember my mom telling me she didn't think that Honey would live for Christmas. I also remember the vet saying "She's gone." A few seconds later her body went cold. Christmas is gonna be hard without a cat to lay under our tree. Rest In Peace, Honey, and know that we love you forever.

My 17 year old cat with kidney failure had to be put down today, I miss him so much we had him before I was even born, he was in such terrible condition and I really hope he’s happy in heaven

My Cat of 14 years died yesterday. I knew in the morning that she was on her way out of this world but I had to work a 13 hour shift. My cat waited until we got home. She died in my husband's lap (Her Daddy), at her home surrounded by love & her family the way it should be. Not in some cold sterile vet's office.

My cat died this April at 4 years old (almost 5). Even now, more than 7 months after I still cry myself to sleep almost every night because of how much I miss him.

My cat died yesterday and I really miss him, I called him my son or my baby. He was the sweetest and kindest cat. He had been with another cat (who I also have) and he’s been with him since he was a baby and I’m scared he’ll be to sad without his best friend. We didn’t even know he was dying, it turns out he had lung cancer or an enlarged heart, we took him to the vet assuming he’d get meds for probably constipation but that wasn’t the case. Two months ago i adopted a cat from my wife's friend. He was 5 months old and he was extremely sick. When i picked him up, he had been having diarrhea for 2 weeks. We took him straight to vet, but he did not last long. He was with us inly for 3 weeks. Me and my wife cried for a whole week. I blame myself, because i think i could have done better for him. After one week we decided to adopt his sister. She is a very rambunctious cat and made us laugh every day with her silliness. But i do realize that one day i will too be sad to see her go.

I’m losing my cat today and I’m devastated. He’s 14 and he has cancer. I’m so deeply wounded and feel so bad for him. I wish I could do anything for him. My heart begs for a remedy and I would cut off my limbs if it would save him. I’m so heartbroken.

To see his beautiful black fluffy tail when he was walking in his final days ,anyone watching this vid would see how loved Vincent was and will always live on with love and in your hearts. One of my ginger toms passed away from kidney problems. I can not tell you how many tears I cried. Like your Vincent, my ginger tom will always be in my heart.

My cat was diagnosed with FIV yesterday, and given a month left to live. It has been so horrible, heartbreaking and feels insurmountable right now. I’m really doing my best to care for him, we know that no matter what, he’s going to die, so we decided to make this last month extra special with lots of love, cuddles, kisses and treats.

This reminds me of my Lucy. She was given 3 years but she only lived 1. She eventually stopped eating and barely drank water. She could hardly walk or stand. She went from 16 pounds to only 7 pounds. We ended up having to put her down. I told her I loved her and then dad took her with my brother to the vet. I am bawling as I write this because I miss her so much. She was almost 16 when she was put down. It's been almost one year and it still hurts so very badly... I love and miss you Lucy... forever and always...

I cried for 2 weeks - that’s how long it’s been since she’s died. I miss her so much. She didn’t deserve to die. I saw her die right in front of me. I have no idea how or why she died. I'm sorry about your cat. My beloved 14-year old black female cat has peacefully passed away this week. Also from renal failure. She was peaceful and calm though and it was basically the same as everything depicted in your video. But I was not prepared for how heartbreaking this would feel. I've lost dogs and pets since childhood, but I've never really experienced or expected anything like this--this is more like losing a baby girl or child. She was a very smart, vocal and special cat and she had a depth to her. And all this on top of the stress of the pandemic and it's isolation. Other cat owners seem to be the only people who fully understand what it's like. I'm glad she is now at peace and buried in her own garden though. It's truly heartbreaking but we gave her a life of being loved and spoiled.

This sounds alot like how it happend with my cat. She had a stroke 3 years ago which revealed her kidney failure. Daily meds, diet food, 3 months check up at the vet. She did well untill recently. I took her to the vet because she was limping. She had just lost so much weight, she didnt have enough power to walk decently. She still ate and came for cuddles, if that stopped we'd have to put her to sleep. Few days later she didnt want to eat or cuddle much. I made the apointment. But like a miracle the day after she got all active again. Like yours she enjoyed laying outside on the sun. I put a comfy blanket and an umbrella for the moments it would rain. She didnt go outside for over 10 year now all she wanted was to go outside. After a few days she got very weak again and it went very fast. She wanted to sleep on the floor, walking was very tiring, still drinking alot but no more food, not even her favorites, she lost control over her bladder. I made an apointment with the vet next day. Kept her with me in bed all night. She scratched her paw against my leg to make clear she wanted to be picked up. I placed her on my chest and she placed her head against my cheeck. Her heart beating agains mine. Her paw wrapped around my finger. I was so sad to know in a few hours we'd have to go to the vet for the last time. Enjoying every single second. Suddenly the music we were listening stopped playing, she bit me in my neck, a loud meow, she makes a weird movement and then several deep sighs....she was gone. I was shocked but realised this was the most beautiful goodbye. I later checked that radio, it was still on, the song didnt finish it had just paused. It was a song about a friendschip that lasts forever 💞

She was always a small cat as at her biggest she only weighed 6.3 lbs. But after her weight loss she was down to 3 lbs. I though she had to be suffering as she really wasn't walking or drinking, just nothing. I took her to the vet and stayed with her of course and told her I loved her and that she was the best cat ever. They are all special but Whiskers was a special life given to me. Cats are so loving I just lost my beautiful Tuxedo Bradley about an hour ago. He had cancer he was Daddy’s big boy I am going to miss him so much he was a blessing to our family. God bless you Bradly you came into our lives and into our hearts.

I had to put down my best buddy Checkers yesterday……it was one of the the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. He was an 11 year old tuxedo cat that I’ve had since the moment he was born. He was such a loyal boy, very loving, and was never far from me when I was in the house. The pain I’m experiencing is overwhelming at times but he was starting to suffer and his quality of life declining quickly. As a 55 year old guy typing this with tears rolling down my face……. My beloved black cat died on Feb 21 2023.He was suffering at heart disease. He was my best friend. I miss him every moment.Without him I feel empty.He was a very special cat.

My cat Smoke looks just like Vincent. I always hug him and say to him "Your my best bud and I'm your best bud and we're best buds forever". He stands on his hind legs and pushes the door closed between the living room and the bedroom when he wants my attention. He once faced down a pit bull to protect his mother and brothers and sisters. I’m sorry for the loss of your beautiful Vincent. I lost my cat of 12 years three weeks ago. I have good days when i think of all the good times we had it puts a smile on my face. I have more days when I can’t stop crying. I miss him so much. He was such a huge part of my everyday life. I can’t hold it together when I look at his photos and think that “I will never see him again”! Makes me very sad to think I will never see him again or get to hold him ever again. I can’t stop crying. He was diagnosed with diabetes 5 1/2 years ago. He went into remission twice and was doing much better. However, he was diagnosed with liver and kidney failure. He was hungry all the time. He ate so many meals per day, but never gained any weight. I gave him cat vitamins, but his health continue to decline. The vet said he was in renal failure. Towards the end I carried him up and down the stairs. He was getting so weak. I knew his time was near. The morning that he passed away. He waited for me to wake up and we said our goodbyes and he went peacefully soon after. He was my best friend. No one on this earth will ever love me as much as he did. We had found him in our yard 12 years ago as a tiny kitten. He loved when I gave him kisses and we had our own way of communicating that no one else in my family understood. I was the only person he would let hold him and carry him around the house. We had such a strong bond and I miss him so much. I hope that the ache in my heart from missing him subsides one day. I do have other fur family members another cat and dogs. I’ve also lost previous dogs to old age and illnesses, but none of them have been this heart-wrenching. This cat was my favorite fur family member. I will forever miss him. I hope that one day I am able to look at his photos without tears streaming down my face🥺😢

I cant..I cant, I stop crying. Yesterday my cat died from weight lost.. She lost 3 pounds and the vet said that's a bad sign. We cried for 30 minutes. After 3 hours she suffered even more. We wasnt gonna allow her to suffer. We took her to the vet and put her down. I had her for 9 years. I love you Molly. Rest In Peice and your in a better place now.

I lost my cat Prince two weeks ago though I have more cats Prince was the man. He use to watch over me and let me know when the other cats misbehave.. He would do things that the other cats didnt do like drink water from the faucet and wet his forehead.. so many special moments I had with him my soul cat.. He died of kidney failure without warning he just one day was feeling sick and notice his change of behavior and he lost weight too. I took him to the vet. He was dehydrated toxins in his blood and anemic and that's how I decided to put him to sleep. He was already was in the last stages and dying. It was too expensive to treat him for many days in the hospital without no guarantee he will live he was suffering. The vet said he will eventually pass away.. My heart is broken missing him so much.. seeing Vincent I understand that love your had for him and giving him all your had in his last days.. I just read books about how our pets go to heaven.. I'm devastated but comforted too .. RIP Vincent .. RIP Prince.. the ❤❤❤We will see you again!

I had to say goodbye to my tuxedo Bella Marie yesterday. She ran under my Mama's car Friday night and one of her back legs was run over. She seemed fine that night, responding to my voice, eating and drinking, trying to get up. Then yesterday, while I was at work, my Daddy called me from the vet's office and said that her back was broken and both of her back legs were paralyzed. They gave me the choice to either bring her home or put her to sleep. I didn't want her to suffer, so I had her put to sleep. But at the same time I regretted it because when the nurse picked her up to take her to be sedated, she started crying and reached her little white paws out to me, and those little green eyes looked at me over the nurse's shoulder as she was taken to another room for the sedative. I felt like I'd given up on her. I stayed right by her side when they brought her back to the room telling her how much I loved her and how sorry I was that I didn't get out of the car to lead her away in time. I kept talking to her even after it was over and when I got home I held her as long as I could while my Daddy and brother were making her a nice little spot to bury her.

Just lost my 18 year old cat Claws 6 days ago and she looked identical to Vincent. All black fluffy bundle of love. RIP Vincent & Claws.

My Cat Tobi passed away today at 7:30 due to alot of medical conditions. Medicine got trapped in his lungs, he was severly dehydrated, had an upset stomach was already stressed. He painfully died infront of me, his unexpected death has caused alot of sadness in the household. #rip tobi, you brought joy to all of us and were the best thing that has ever happened to me, every time you purred when we pet behind your little kitten ears for you made us euphoric. Writing this in tears makes it hard. Your eyes went black the moment your soul left your body. You left too soon and will be forever be in our hearts and missed

My 3 year old girl died of an enlarged heart yesterday. She was totally asymptomatic until the last 24 hours. I'm so shocked, reality doesn't feel real right now. She was soo happy and enjoying every minute of life, always busy or on a mission. She taught me how to live and love life. I'm going to miss her so much x

i dont know why but i searched cats dying and never thought i would be in tears of seeing Vincent pass away like that. i have 8 months old kittens and i dont want to even think of what will happen to them in 10 years where they would eventually suffer but like you rightfully said that they will ultimately grow old and die. thanks for sharing his wonderful life story with us

Our cat went from 20 pounds (I know. She was a chonk) to 9 pounds in a matter of weeks. She’s been eating tape off some boxes in the basement and it eventually got stuck. We took her to the vet and they treated with barium as the weight of the liquid helps foreign materials pass. She survived but never regained the weight. She was 15. At age 17 another weight loss. She dropped to 4 pounds. We thought perhaps kidney disease or cancer. She was treated for a neurological infection and back home. De regained 3 pounds. At 18 I noticed she was slowing down on feeding and water. Back to the vet. She was back to 4 pounds. Two weeks later I yelled at my husband she needed to go back. He was in denial. He wasn’t ready to lose her. The vet checked. She was in respiratory distress similar to asthmatic kitties, but not in an asthmatic attack. If you’ve ever seen it, you know what it looks like. Vet said she had an infection had elevated white count and bloodwork showed she was fighting the illness. She was given a shot and sent home again weighing only 2 -1/2 pounds. Two nights later she stopped eating and drinking. Wouldn’t even take minced turkey layer in front of her. I knew. There was no place open and she suffered all night. At 5am she had her last painful death throws, a small seizure and collapsed to the floor. It’s been so hard to forgive the vet for not seeing how close she was to the end. Those hours are stuck in my heart forever with her wailing and not being able to do anything for her her. I’m grateful she’d always been an indoor cat. I know frequently outdoor cats just go hide and die alone. I’m glad we were there. I’m grateful we will forever be witnesses to her life and her struggle. Today we found a kitten 4-? weeks old alone on the street. He wasn’t weaned. Tried soft pâté kitten food. He licks but no go on eating. Tried formula which he will only drink off my finger. My husband will lose his mind if we cannot save this baby. Tried syringe but he is still looking for that nipple. Ordered miracle nipple. So here’s hoping 🤞 for success. He hasn’t even allowed me to foster until now. He’s made it clear we are keeping the little guy.

He is not in any pain he is still eating and drinking water but, he has lost alot of weight 😕. He is and will always be my handsome lil man. I kept taking mine back & forth to the Vet while struggling with diabetes untill she let us know at the Energency Veterinerian Hospital it was time. After a sonogram the Dr found alot of Cancerous fluids and showed it to my in a giant syringe that it was in between her organs all of a sudden it was clear she wanted to leave us and not be bothered anymore. She is part of my heart & Soul with the deepest LOVE forever and all eternity. 🖤 I cried everyday and still do grive.

I just lost my kitten on March 6, it was a sad day for me I am in total grief now spent my time crying and felt it was all my fault why he died. I am busy working all day and the only time I was able to feed him was in the morning and when I get home. I felt very sorry and terrible he was very hungry and weak on the last day. I did not understand a lot and was mad forcing him to eat for almost two weeks and now that he's gone I realized how special he was to me. For a short span of time 4 months old kitten, the bond the we had was so special and I totally miss the days when he was sick I have to spend an hour to feed him little food. Its just terrible he was gone!

Rip Vincent. I just went through this with my beautiful black kitty, 10 days ago. I'm still heartbroken. They leave such a gaping hole in our lives when they're gone.

My neighbour had a kitten. He came to see us everyday and would play with me, I bonded with him and began to love him. 2 days ago he was out near the road and was killed by a car. It`s really torn me apart and I miss seeing his little face sitting on our wall. He was only nine months old. I have physical pain in my chest ( heart ache) and keep crying . The garden seems empty and dead without him.

As a cat mummy I got my cat as a stray. He was so small and thin and I wasn't sure if he would survive. Thankfully he's still alive and fast approaching his 6th birthday. I'll be getting a kitten so he won't be on his own whenever we go shopping or run errands. He starts meowing if even just one of us leaves. He gets on wonderfully with other cats and kittens so I don't think he'll attack her. I know he live forever but I promised myself that when the time comes I'll stay with him until he's gone no matter how much it hurts to watch my pet who I consider as a child pass away.

I just lost my most beloved cat yesterday . He was getting old, loosing weight and got trouble to breath. We had to put him down, he was chocking on pain . I kissed one more time on his forehead before exiting the room , I couldn't handle the fact he was leaving us I had to walk away and keep reminding to myself it was the best thing to do for him. For a solid four hours I kept wondering and wondering if I was selfish , if I should kept it at home and spend his final moment with him. But he was suffering so much , I didn't want to think about anything and wanted him to have his final peace. I miss him dearly. I have a second cat at home , I couldn't let him go and I spend my entire four hours crying in his fur. They said they could have saved him, but couldn't guarantee his survival for the next weeks . He was 11 years old, his name was Minou and I will always remember him.

Sorry for your loss, Vincent was so lucky to have you. I just lost my cat of 12 years, Mootah yesterday morning to a sudden death. We believe he may have injested rat poison. I keep running through all the things I could've done differently, and everything reminds me of him, it's taken a huge toll on me mentally and physically. I was awake in my room when he would've passed, but I didn't know. I just wish I'd went down to make a cup of tea and found him there, comforted him in his last moments. He was such a polite, loving, friendly, sociable yet shy cat - the kindest I've ever met, probably ever will meet. I'm going to miss his meow, the way he'd always trot on my feet, seeing him come running to me from the top of my street screaming, answering the door to him and even his many presents... It just feels so unreal that these things will never happen again, and that he's only a memory now. My dearest gentleman, Mootah.

I've got a new cat this last November, but honestly, im still missing my old buddy muning, who stayed with me for like 10 yrs of my life... he is the best cat I've ever had...

I had to put my 15 year old cat down yesterday, and watching this was very comforting to me ❤️ She looked a lot like Vincent too

So sorry. You took good care of him and he had a good life. For those of you who have old and sick pets, if it's available and affordable, please consider having the vet come to you when it's time to put your pet to sleep - especially if they ultra hate the vet like our cat did! Of course you probably won't be able to do this at the last minute, so it's a good idea to check ahead of time - and of course even if you schedule everything perfectly, nature may have other plans. But for us it was so much better to have it happen at home, much more peaceful and no need to drive/travel while you're stressed out and sad, etc.

Thank you for posting this. My cat Monty experienced kidney failure and had to be euthanized. He was a young cat, and it broke my heart to have to tell the vet to put him down. I stayed with him and petted him while he received the injections. He knew I was there because his ears twitched while I cried. He took his last breath knowing I loved him, and that gives me some comfort.
