I never forget the time a bunch of coworkers went out to karaoke bar and we had a new filipina girl with us and always seemed so shy. Even when we asked her to sing she kept giving us excuses. Then, i guess she gave into peer pressure and totally killed it. I don’t think anyone else wanted to sing after that lol.

LOL. Family Barbecue before school starts. Only been 3 months when I landed. Everyone was trying to out do each other. I asked after the lull why one of my Foster Dad not singing. They said he's shy and don't want to embarrass him, he stutters. I laughed my butt off and ask "So none of you heard him sing?" Ask what he wanted to sing, handed the microphone. Then it was dead silence. I looked around after and said "That's what I thought." He's shy 'coz they laughed at him, instead of helping with a mispronounced English word. So told them that English is just ONE of the FIVE languages he speaks.

I was the weird one in Karaoke a few years back. I started with Josh Groban’s “You raise me up” highlighting my baritone voice. Then they asked me to sing another one after a few songs & a few redhorse beers in my system later. While the Dr Jekyll in me sang “You raise me up,” earlier, my Mr Hyde chose “Crawlin” by Linkin Park and I used to be able to do a good Chester Benington voice impersonation. Needless to say, they were shocked & I was like, “Yah got that right. I’m classic and Nu Metal. Stop staring.”
