I cast one of the mysterious and deranged StarCraft 2 builds of the one and only, Florencio, the dude that invented the Protoss proxy nexus recall rush. In this episode, the Sewer Mermaid has a very good strat that deals a lot of damage. But is it enough against such a good opponent?

It was an HONOR to play Florencio and to be casted by Pig. Highlight of my SC2 career. I have been playing for a long time. I'm 52, and have been playing since broodwar. I'm just glad I got so much praise for my gameplay by Pig and Flo, makes me feel great. Personally I like facing creative cheese and this was that. I'm proud of my responses and cool patient play. As for the hotkeys - I hotkey my overlords for 1. fast recall if they start hunting them, 2. able to drop creep from all of the overlords once lair is done, and to create a instant creep highway if needed, and 3. ability to make Overseers or Dropper Lords without scouring the map for loose overlords. Zerg don't use burrow enough, I'm glad I got a chance to be annoying back! GFG

Massive respect for you man. I would have lost my mind, but you held it together and played great. One or two little mistakes cost you the game, but to hang in there that long in such a weird game takes a ton of skill.

Is nobody really talking about the fact a 52 year old is playing a game that requires such intense focus as SC2 and pretty competently for their age? That's crazy. I wonder how many people that age play. But yeah, if it weren't for that one headbutt into the planetary, you had that game in the bag, but that also made it more entertaining to watch. GG

Thanks, also for making dropperlords, overseers and a creep highway if needed, and to auto-drop creep once you get lair - ONE BUTTON instead of hunting down each one.

Command centers should be able to kill all non-massive units by landing on them, that would make hilarious gameplay!

Especially not being able to land on burrowed units makes no sense. I mean, the cc has no detection and shouldn't even know about the unit. Just as weird as burrowed roaches being able to dig under depots that are completely put down in the basement, but not when they unblocked that space by being raised.

For balance reasons, the CC should take damage if it does. So you might land a CC, only to have it blow up due to a gazzillion burrowed zerglings which all got squashed.

@@torak456 So while this all seems great and fun conceptually, it would just result in no one trying to block CCs from landing. Assuming the damage is proportional to the squished units, dropping a 400 mineral building to kill some units is a great trade. Especially if there are enough units to kill the CC. Taking damage as a cost is already an established mechanic from Stim and Vipers. CC crushing would need the CC to take excessive damage for it to become a tactical choice.

@@torak456 damage taken should be roughly equivalent to unit cost such that you could kill a CC with 350 minerals worth of zerglings, but if the zerg stations more resources than necessary all units should die regardless. No landing on other buildings tho

@@tadferd4340 imagine a command center landing on a burrowed ultralisk and just getting destroyed. The could even make an animation for the ultra erupting out of the cc. Or even cooler, imagine if the value of units was more than 400, then the units are destroyed but the CC becomes infested and under zerg control. The raven would get irradiate or some other unit something similar and would needed to purify an reclaim the CC. Obviously with no new development these are just pie in the sky, but could be cool and makes more sense frankly than the middle finger Ling

@PIG the mouse I use to play starcraft with is the razer naga which has 12 thumb buttons. very handy for an additional option to access control groups!

You make an Overlord hotkey in case you spot tons of Air in production so you can recall them all to the base with one click.

You know I'm surprised that landing buildings doesn't crush enemy units, but I imagine players would be doing cheese with it if they did.

They need to make a patch for SC2 where Zerglings get crushed by CC's when landing and corpses/destroyed structures remain on the map 😈

All Terran buildings should auto crush anything other than buildings in the way on landing.

Overlord hotkey lets you pull back all scouting overlords when your opponent puts out Vikings to kill them. It's also handy later to have them to morph overseers without needing to find them. I would highly recommend trying an mmo mouse.

I have an fps mouse and an mmo mouse both work great for sc2 the mmo mouse tho I get lost on in starcraft which is wierd because for ff14 I know it just fine I guess the stress of sc2 just makes me forget what I set up lmfao

Also to make a creep highway and dropper lords, Its easy to hotkey then in eggs if you just make it muscle memory then one key drops creep everywhere.

Only reason I can think of for an Overlord group is if they have them spread out for scouting and they start getting targeted, select the group and bring them all home at once instead of having to do each manually. Not the worst idea if you scout with your overlords and they get aggressive in attacking them.

@@javaskull I can see how that would help with pushes, as units move faster on creep. I hadn't considered that before, but it is a good point. May make it harder to hide, but if you time it right (keep in general area, but move into position and drop creep just before moving out so they don't have time to see the creep before your units are near), it could help with timings and surprise attacks.

Very early evo, builds spine crawlers instead of queens, no scout, getting hydras instead of infestors, not spreading creep. No separate control groups. Probably plat 3 or 2. I'll probably murder this playstyle of terran in 4 minutes. I already fought against this on masters and i'm only diamond 1. I'm not a pro but i'm not stupid enough to think that this terran is good. Sorry.
