I'm a big fan of Alastor and he **can** be a total sweetie ( example Rosie and Nifty ) but he isn't naturally a total sweetie. It's not a regular part of his personality like Charlie has "sweet" as a regular part of her personality. It's just a trait that a few individuals bring out in him temporarily

@@RTWLR I mentioned his backstory in my comment so... before he died of course, but hey making it after his death would be a neat idea too! Just imagine these 95'/15' supernatural horror movies where a bunch of teens accidentally summon some evil spirit from hell or something and now they have to investigate the past live of the killer so they get an idea how to stop it or else they are going to keep disappearing one by one, the one problem is I don't know how much this would break the lore on Hazbin since we have no idea if Sinners can interact with living humans.

I love that they use Alastor as the mysterious character who we don't know a lot about!!! This makes him even more interesting. Not just his human life but also his past in hell is a secret. But I'm still on the theory that Eve/Roo is his soul owner and Lilith is just a red herring. ❤

Me too. Like Lilith could have made a deal with Roo/Eve separately to have the ability to leave hell so she could go to heaven for whatever reason. But Alastor doesn’t know about this so he thinks he’s the only one in Roo/Eves control so he feels like he needs to hide his emotions and trick himself into believing he’s in control. And how does he do that? Smiling. So I guess that one explaining it.

The other possibility is that Alastor made a deal with Eve/Roo to get all his incredible power, and maybe Lilith somehow got involved during the seven year absence

The only thing that keeps me believing Lilith is somehow involved is the fact that Alastor 1. showed up at the hotel and 2. hasn‘t been seen killing anyone or make a soul contract other than to protect the hotel. The only contracts he made were „just favors“. I can imagine that the contract he despises is the one he had to make with Lilith, and this one involves protecting Charlie, whereas the deal he made with Roo dates back to when he was still alive. I keep believing in my theory, that he‘ll become the intermediate villain in S2, but will be convinced to join the Hazbin crew again in S3, maybe through involvement by his mother.

The way Mimzy told that story to Alastor is very chilling and kinda funny since she's the one telling the story. Plus I love that these two are hugging, they are definitely close friends. Well Mimzy would be a better friend if she didn't cause this whole destruction to the hotel with Loan Sharks.😊😅

I'm telling y'all, Alastor probably made deal with roo when he was alive, as we know sinners need many, many deals to turn into overlord and how surprising to see sinner who became overlord as soon as he died. Alastor probably knew that he would end up there and that's why he made deal with some powerful demon like roo, who gived him power to become overlord as soon as he gets into hell.

Speaking of the "deal" Husk later mentioned, I have a theory that Alastor might have made the deal with Lilith. The only proof I have for now is that they both disappeared for 7 years...but Vivienne also said "Alastor will be a source of a big conflict", so if we see Lilith in the second season, it might mean that there is going to be a very tough situation for the hotel...

I think they are connected, but she do not own his soul. I think the one who does is Roo, a future villain who fans susepct is the final villain of the show, the root of evil, since in a fanart made by Viv, she can evoke things that look like roots, and the roots also appear in the intro when Charlie say "Evil find its way to Earth". I think she own Alastor's soul, because narrative, would fit pretty well, and also to make live Alastor's mistery as loong as possible.

@@shayneoneill1506- Hazbin Hotel is A24's property. Amazon is just the distributor. Helluva Boss is still SpindleHorse's property. I doubt Vivzie has any interest in selling it. She has complete creative control over Helluva Boss, as well as the rights to its characters. She might not want to give that up.

Yeah, that’s not his backstory. We covered all of it in episode one. Not that it’s any less entertaining, but I for one was hoping we could peel back the layers of his mind and, by extension, history, go a little deeper into his childhood trauma, and understand how it shaped him into the so called “Radio Demon”.
