P3 We both have our guards up right now. Only because when I tried to let mine down, hers when up higher. I do see the potential still & I have deep feelings for her. Pile 3 we have been together since 2 years I faced SA which was pretty bad and he felt safe he was patient with me but have ptsd triggers which were a challenge, we had huge fight like few days ago and chose to take a break to preserve my sanity , I focus on my career wrote him an apology , waiting for him for now his career got sorted this year because it felt like power team and I know we can grow together lets see . #3 we've been talking for about 6 months and we're just now being like okay let's go for this and see so we've been in a relationship for 4 months we are both very guarded. Pile 1 It's a long-distance relationship and he told me just yesterday that he knows deep down that I want to be there with him but he's scared that when the day comes for us to finally meet in person that I won't show up. He said specifically that it's anxiety. He asked me for reassurance but I don't know how to give him more than I already have. How do I give someone reassurance from halfway across the world? Recently he's been really distant with me. I'm doing other things to occupy my mind but I get anxious myself when I don't hear from him for a week. I try not to blow up his phone too much. If i haven't heard from him in a week and i maybe message him 3 times in that time period and then when he comes back immediately asks for reassurance, I don't know what to do. I asked him how he'd like reassurance and he just said he didn't know. Literally, what do I do?

I chose Pile #1. I claim this message. This is exactly my situation currently. He left me a month ago because he started to loose himself, his family, and his children. He's a recovering alcoholic and in rehab and therapy now. His addiction cost him custody of his kids. He became extremely distant a week prior to him leaving me. He was already planning on leaving because he had to, but I think my pain and heartbreak pushed him away and made him decide to leave sooner. We argued and I said some not very nice things. But he still let me say goodbye and he initiated the goodbye hug and kiss and asked me to stay in touch and message him. We spoke for a bit but it's always been short. He cut off contact a second time and now is completely no contact. He unfriended me from his discord and I was removed from the group he left so he could rejoin. He hasn't removed me from anywhere else, and he hasn't blocked my number. I'm giving him space, but I sent one last message before I cut my contact off asking him to contact me about the stuff he left behind, when he can come get it, and asking to have an open an honest conversation on where we stand. I have hope, but it's very bleak. Not having a clear answer has made it very difficult. I'm doing what he asked me to work on to make myself better. (Clarification: He pointed out flaws and I'm working on them for myself but also as proof that if he ever comes back I can show him I heard him and took him seriously). I want this to work. I hope he comes back when he's figured out his things. Is there any way you can expand on this situation for us?
