From my experience Wild gay clubs are good for hooking up (women go with a different attitude). So are nice hotel bars if you can swing conversation. Gyms suck, tinder sucks, nightclubs suck. I'm a horror/sci-fi buff and I attend events similar to what most people would relate to as a "ComiCon" only the events I go to are geared towards horror and science fiction. So you have a mix of your Jason fans with the Star Wars fans and people who dress up in cosplay, much like a ComiCon. Well....it's not rare to find women into the same thing as myself, not one bit. What's rare is finding a woman who's into all this who just happens to be SINGLE (not to mention the attraction has to go both ways for the ones who are single). But very, very, very rarely do you find women at these events who are not holding hands with some guy. They go and enjoy their love of the hobby together and that's awesome. Plus, at these events are a LOT of independent filmmakers who sent up a vendor table selling their little shitty (and sometimes very well made) indie films. They also usually bring along a few of their hot actresses to attract men to their tables in order to get these guys to buy their products (great marketing strategy). These women (no name actresses) are usually single and will admit it (I've talked to many of them) however....they have it in THEIR own minds that because they were in some student film which they're selling copies of at the events, that they may as well be on the same level as actual Hollywood celebrities and they see ANY man that approaches them as a "CREEPER". Their attitude is simply: "Buy my movie and keep it moving". Unless of course you posses the LOOK that attracts them. And at such events, that look us usually the gothic, tattooed, metal head even if he's a fat slob with a ZZ Top beard. If that what those women are attracted to, then a guy like me (although I'm a metal head just minus the tattoos) won't get a 2nd look. I've tried your idea. Not just at those types of events but at concerts, festivals, etc. I see a lot of women already coupled with someone. It's rare that women go to those types of things alone. They're usually with a BF who is probably more into the event than even she is. So yeah. What other advice you got?
