I recently had a long weekend in Italy, my first time in the country. I got to switch off from work and my other responsibilities, which did me so much good. I spent most of my time walking the streets, getting orientated in the cities I visited and exploring these new places. (And when I say most of my time I really mean it. We covered over 30 miles in 3 days!)
My biggest realisation was how much joy I still get from exploring somewhere new. Even when my feet were sore and legs were aching, I was still glad to be roaming around seeing so many amazing sights for the first time. And knowing where we find joy is so important as this directly impacts our life experiences. I know that the more joy I feel, the more resilient I'll be and the more positive experiences will come to me.
