Yoooo thought I should offer some answers in case he doesn’t respond. If you are playing a bigger bystial package, put as many as you can versus Drytron. Hitting the level 1 drytron cards, preferably to stop Alpha from summoning (it grabs benten if they don’t have it yet) should stop their combos on the spot, or at least have them end on a lot worse board. Regarding quaertis, rindbrumm, and titaniklad. Titaniklad is only super useful once you get Quem. You might want to remove him for something else until you get one. It is also an out to nibiru though. Let’s say you make your whole board, and then get hit with the rock, you can chain mirrorjade, banish itself, send titaniklad. End phase, titaniklad summons albaz and you can fuse with their nibiru and I went down a line of play where I hadn’t used Albion’s effect, so I full combod all over again. Quaertis should be your main send off of granguinol, useless you don’t have access to branded fusion yet. Once it’s in the grave it will be your no. 1 branded in red target unless the niche scenario called for other options. I find rindbrumm to be purely utility. It’s much better to make than mirrorjade under shifter since mirrorjade can’t pay cost. Rindbrumm can also be sent off granguinol if you have albaz on the field and no quem and also no way into mirrorjade this turn, since it can quick effect reborn albaz to fuse with preferably an extra deck monster for mirrorjade.

@@VenatorXVenator overall solid advice here, just seems like youre mixing up Quaeritis with Ad Libitum. Quaeritis is a valid target for branded in red but will not allow you to fuse afterward since it cannot be added back to hand.

Quaeritis can be cheated onto the field through Granguignol's trigger effect. Quem is also a valid target for this effect whenever you end up getting that card. Quaeritis is best generally in this scenario when your opponent wont be able to attack over him or if you have cards in hand so that if they out him via a card effect, you can attempt an Albaz fusion. Quaeritis is rarely made organically through cartesia/branded in red/etc. Titaniklad and Rindbrumm are a little bit more niche but I plan to talk about them more in future vids. My last test hand video I talked about Rindbrumm a good bit though. As far as cards to pitch off of opening/Lubellion/etc, I touched on this a bit in my "Finer Details of Branded" video, but the short version is to pitch duplicates of hard once per turn cards or cards that recur or activate in the graveyard anyway (tragedy, retribution, saronir, shroudion, etc). Part of Branded's power is not keeping a million cards in hand but converting cards in hand into powerfful on field effects and/or grave setups/recursion later

Should get the combos off better. For the cost of Mirrorjade, are there any cards or combo lines that help us keep a steady hand size to pay for the cost of activating our monster effects?

Totally fair, its the part I go back and forth on the most Nibiru is funny because when people expect it its useless but when they think it sucks they stop expecting it and then its good again kinda thing lol Considering bumping imperm and talents to 3, putting nib in side and maybe bringing back ad lib or something, we’ll see

banishment is fun, but i would only ever play it in the side going first if it really was great against the matchup. even then though i find myself siding in super poly in similar situations when it decimates a particular matchup and requires less setup than branded banishment does

True, tbh I usually find Quaeritis to be the better summon if I’m not bringing out Quem but a 3500 atk mirrorjade is kinda baller

"Shroudion" is a shortcut name I use as a combination of "Shroud" and the "-ion" from "Albion" lol

D barrier is always a side option when playing crossout, but beyond that the only real “out” is to play a branded synchro build straight up. Prohibition is funny but it wont help if they set d barrier going first and call fusion in the draw phase of your turn going second. Branded isnt the only deck that struggles with d barrier, stupid card should be banned imo lol Technically a nadir servant build could set you up for your next turn, but going second into d barrier and a full board is already an uphill battle and i dont think nadir servant alone will really save you from that anyway, just my opinion
