Oh sweetie... As someone that's worked in the PR industry for well over a decade, you need to either fire your PR firm and get a new one or get one to begin with. Because any decent firm would tell you not to nervous chuckle after talking about firing people, not to make this all about yourself, not to highlight how inexperienced you are with your Loubi comment and more. Read up on crisis management success and failure examples. Buy a bunch of Harvard Business School case studies and really study them (Tylenol is the gold standard). You know what the great CEO's do that help them stay great? They read all about business. They read case study after case study. They learn from other industries. They know they're not the smartest ones and need to rely on others. They also admit when they're wrong and don't make it all about them.
