Come along for a golf cart ride through The Villages as we go to fill up our cart. We will tell a few stories and point out some areas of interest along the way. Let go Cruisin' The Villages!

It's good to have one. Due to Brenda's mom's mobility issues we can't get gas when she is riding with us, so sometimes we run low. In fact, I pulled out the emergency can today!

Thank you guys for this important Video. I often wonder if golf carts took regular gas like car, and where were the cart gas stations were located in the Southern part of The Villages. I really appreciated the information (gps tracking your cart movement, the mileage and time clock). It’s nice to know that it took roughly 18:30ish minutes to drive 5.3 miles at about 20 mph. That remote gas station by the power lines is in camouflage. I would have known or seen that because it does look like a typical gas station.

You will have many more areas to choose from in a year from now. May be seeing homes starting south of Monarch Grove working towards the new town square area of Eastport.

Dave, so aside from that off road station and Brownwood is chitty chatty the next nearest gas station? There is a shell station there and one night we were in our car and stopped to get gas. We saw a bunch of golf carts pulled up to regular pumps getting gas at this station.

Those people living in the areas near Sawgrass grove would probably use shell station for cart gas. Those of us south of the turnpike would probably use the Brownwood golf cart store for cart. Pretty much everyone south of route 44 uses the shell station for car gas since that is the closest.

I have been watching the commercial construction at the intersection of Warm Springs and 301 and was wondering if a gas station might be planned for here as well?

There were rumors of a gas station at one time, but I have not heard anything recently to support that rumor. The current construction you see on both side of the road there is basically shell buildings for individual businesses to move into similar to the one going up in Magnolia plaza.

Thank you for the information you share. Because of that I have a question that doesn’t relate to golf carts. Is the a map of the Villages, villages?

The Villages Mercantile shop at the town square sells 2 large fold out maps of the villages. It is broken down into the southern half and northern half maps. The problem is keeping the maps up to date as fast as construction is expanding. You can also use The Villages free app for GPS directions for cars and golf carts.

Nothing that I have found, but I haven't looked very hard for it. We do most of our exploring in areas of construction that are not yet mapped. We learn the area from our daily golf cart rides. The established areas roads show up on google maps, waze, etc. What we really need is a full map of locations of specific villages. I have not been able to locate anything online with that information. If you find one please let me know..... I still don't know where all of the individual villages are located in the northern section without pulling out a paper map sold by The Villages.

Is your cab hot in the summer, like some say. I would think with the doors open , you would have plenty of air.
