pretty damn sure this is actually the power of NISA's translation team taking a scene and pushing it completely over the edge just to make the script more "funny" (this is the same translation team that thought renaming a character until it had a name resembling "STD" was agood idea).

LeonGun8 Pretty much, a script that relies heavily on "Comedy" has to be changed if the literal translation is bland and boring. Im not very good at japanese but i know when the subtitles dont match the voices at all. All for the sake of recognizing the work of their translators, putting things that wont be skipped on a 1st time playthrough. Sorry for the grammar

maurotula Comedy is extremelysubjective though.I'm all for faithful translations that keep the spirit of the scene, even if it'schanged a little to make the joke work. But changing lines just for the sake of changing themand adding jokes in scenes that never existed to begin with is just sloppyand liberal localization. Let me put it this way, if the Translator and localization Editor were so enamored with the idea of writing their own jokes, maybe they should have tried writing the script of a new game rather than taking an existing script and changing it until it no longer resembles the original. The Localization of Neptunia Victory was the worst one in allof the Neptunia series.Heck, not even Hyperdevotion Noire,which is often accused of being liberal in it's localization changes, was as bad as Victory. I also found it extremely interesting that the two games that fans have complained about having strange translations (Re;Birth 2 and Hyperdevotion Noire) were Translated and edited by a former NISA employee who now works in IFI.

LeonGun8 I agree, changing completely parts of the original source makes you think you are dealing with something entirely different, and that hardly ever works the way it is intended (Those who speak several languages can easily spot the diferences) I always find the localizations of this franchise to be a mess in terms of translations, Neptunia Victory being the worst so far.

maurotula Re;birth 1 was probably the closest to being loyal to the source material, which also coincided with it being the first Neptunia handled by Idea Factory's new international division,rather than NISA. I personally have found Xseed to have the best track record of localization efforts, though a lot of their games are translated by hired translation teams instead of in-house translation teams (Tecmo Koei does the same for their Gust-developed games). the Kiseki series especiallyare a very challenging game to localize yet Xseed has managed to tackle the challenge in a way fans have actually come out satisfied. And we're talking about games with huuuuuge scripts that many thought would be unfeasible to localize due to the amount of effort required.

It is to dangerous to be more than friends with nepgear she would for sure have to fight uni but Vert would probably go for peashy in this dimension where is plutia too but in the first dimension Vert would probably hold a small grudge against nepgear but then forget about it but for neptune the safest choice is noire and nepgear just likes neptune as sister but noire always seemed to like neptune truly and neptune wouldn't do something as bad as loving her own sister like that it would be scary and everyone would be questioning her sanity too, that from my point of view was it, neptune would go for noire she alerdy likes noire much, noire likes her as well there is a manga on how neptune gets noire doesn't take much time if noire is alerdy feeling she likes neptune as friends it would be easy but the sister friendship nepgear and neptune is based on being friendship nothing more if it got to love even if neptune really did defeat uni nepgear loves making gadgets and stuff neptune always had problems with her stuff it would probably spark many problems and in the end it would go back to friendship so that's what I think would happen on both versions basically my awnswered is she would go for noire knowing she risked to much by going for nepgear and it would be hard to even make nepgear love her like love true love for more reasons than I mentioned related to uni and the fact that nepgear wouldn't want to be even more covered by her sister in the story so yeah nepgear wold never reach the point of complete love with neptune even If somehow neptune put uni in something like a jail and would brainwash noire because even she would be interested in having neptune as we know neptune would have to become a dictator that brainwashed and arests her best friends if she truly did something as stupid as trying to get in a love relationship with nepgear but at this point we have so many arguments said it explains itself so the end!
