When you said , “Dying ‘EMPTY’...” it just reminded me about what I heard years ago about Nicodemus .... He was among the most wealthiest during his life time ... By the time he died he was among the poorest but HAPPIEST soul. And what some one like that leaves behind is a legacy of unlimited wealth that carries on to Eternity , I believe .... “Rich in deed ... Rich in Good Works ...” Thank You MUCH for Your spiritual TRUE TO LIFE ... TRUE GOD ... TRUE TO SELF ... along as well as TRUE TO MUSIC ...endeavors & Ministry ....🙏🏽💥👍🏽❤️

Clinton Peacock Yeah bro, I'm still trying to figure out what the book bag means??? I thought it represented that you were a pro touring/gigging musician and that you can't stay the whole service...
@clinterprise10 жыл бұрын
prettysimplemusic I think it's in the handbook.. Gotta have the bag, cuz you are "on tour"... and play with it on.... Dude you nailed this...

Clinton Peacock I still have no idea what the bookbag is for. I am glad that I am not the only one confused.

There are a couple of "top notch" gospel musicians who have been known to play with their book bags on...henceforth it has become a trend for a few musicians across the country...The book bag represents "elite" status and represents a top notch "touring" musician...

Kevin, I've been watching and listening to some of your videos off and on for sometime now and out of all that I've viewed ...this one really blessed me. Not because of the interesting and helpful techniques and chord voicing, but because of your transparency and humility to share your strengths and weaknesses in music. Very heart felt my brother, we'll received and I am truly humbled. I've been playing for 30+ yrs and not proficient in A, D, B or E but The Lord has blessed my gifting to the best of my understanding. I can learn a lot from you. This video, has blessing all over it. Wow. It's your humility of spirit that has given me a whole different view of your ministry. This one is truly blessed. Great Respect. -Educapro

3:16 ‘s - Ego vs LOVE: EGO - In James 3:16 we’re taught “Where there is envy & SELFISH AMBITION(S)... there lies every kind of evil work(s)...” which is all about Taking ... LOVE - But in John 3:16 we are taught about LOVE’s Giving ... “God so loved the world that He GAVE ...”
@shawnr269 жыл бұрын
I like this video. I like the perspective of how to address difficult keys...that you can't just look at it as your'e playing in that difficult key (A in this case), but focus more on the progressions (scale) used. It does help. I think that the transpose button has gotten a bad rep because instead of people using it as a tool which can get you out of a sticky situation on the fly, but should also encourage you to go home and practice the transposed song in it's original key that you had difficulty playing in. A lot of people use it as a permanent crutch, which in turn makes them lazy to fully learn the keyboard. Thanks KC

Very good teaching.I enjoyed this. You mentioned you only use software libraries... Are you running a raid hard drive for redundancy?
@prettysimplemusic10 жыл бұрын
not sure about raid hard drive??? I actually made this video with my nifty little macbook air... Normally for the big sound and major projects I use my Mac mini (with factory settings, only upgrade I made was 16gigs of ram)...
@jakejacobs12610 жыл бұрын
prettysimplemusic Some people run redundant hard drives. Raid 1 I believe its called. This is just in case one drive fails. All of my setups have some kind of hardware backup so I dont do this as of yet. I know I need to do something. At the end of Sunday service my single 7200 rpm drive is cookie sheet hot. I work that poor thing very hard. I have 8Gigs of ram since I only load about 5 sounds for Sunday morning.
@prettysimplemusic10 жыл бұрын
hnsmusic gotcha... yeah, since I use the Ravenscroft 275 piano exclusively, I had no choice but to add 16 gigs of ram...that piano alone is 30+ gigs...plus i like to add lush layers on top of it...

@jerometaylor42438 жыл бұрын
Here's an idea, if your video is targeted for those persons who do not play in THOSE keys, then just slow it down for them so they can get it! The 'advanced' musicians can go do something else, since they already know this stuff! That way, you don't have to try to appease those who would be bored or have a short attention span because they already know this stuff! A lot of people would really benefit from this series! Let the advanced individuals go on to lunch or something if they are bored! Obviously, this lesson is for those who do not have the advanced skills!
@prettysimplemusic8 жыл бұрын
+jerome taylor Yeah, but even the advanced musicians might not know how to play these exact movements in the Key of A... they can play similar moves, but maybe not the exact voicings and chord structures... It's hard to make a video in 20 minutes that reaches everyone - but that is my mission to LEAVE NO MUSICIAN BEHIND, advanced or even the beginner :)

Very funny1 When I was playing for our fellowship about 20 years ago, I have used the transpose button. But as you know, the LORD always wants us to develop the talents that He has given us to the fullest so that He will be glorified! have been practicing for 65 years; still have not mastered all keys. A couple of months ago, I heard this beautiful piece by Chopin on the radio. It is the Nocturne #3 in B Major. The LORD told me to learn it. It is 9 pages long. I'm still on page no. 1 If you have not heard it, please look it up on KZfaq. It is very beautiful and lamentful. Also Dr. Gradus ad Parnassum by Debusy. JPP
