MusicWorks - Grade 2
Written for the Temecula Middle School Band (CA), this vibrant work features sophisticated sounds expertly scored for young players. The dramatic opening statement is followed by an exciting and rhythmic main theme. Contrast is provided by a tender slow section with a flowing melody and beautiful harmonies. With careful pacing throughout and interesting parts for every section of the band, this is a perfect piece for motivating middle school players.

In my county we were going to play this for junior all county and it got canceled do to the corona virus so I say good luck to future students playing this wonderful piece of music

My band played this last year with only 16 winds (3 flutes, 1 clarinet, 3 altos, 1 tenor, 1 bari, 4 trumpets, 1 trombone, 1 baritone, 1 tuba) and a handful of percussionists. Very good work for smaller/younger bands as usual from Michael Sweeney, except it would have been better for baritone to have that part at 1:50 instead of trombone

i preformed this yesterday and only had 3 days to learn my new part (baritone) i played trombone for the concert and this song wowed the audience

As a 7th grade percussionist playing gong, suspended cymbal, and triangle on this with 8th grade because they barely have any percussionists, this is a very cool song
