Where to go hiking near NYC | Harriman State Park

I spent a gorgeous fall day in Harriman state park hiking from Sloatsburg train station to lake Sebago and finished at Tuxedo Park.
This hike is easily accessible by public transportation. Take the NJ Transit train from Penn Station to Sloatsburg, and in approximately 1.5 hours, you can enjoy beautiful scenery.

Beautiful scenery! Thanks for sharing it with us. I can't even imagine what it's like to live in NYC, to me I would die if I had to be there. I am used to the outdoors.

I took a train from Penn station to Sloatsburg, and returned from Tuxedo to Penn station. You can just go to Tuxedo and hike around there. It's very easy. Enjoy!

Thanks for the video! How long is the trail? And do you know if there's any swimming at the lake?

The hike sabot 9-10 miles. The lake is big and there are designated areas for swimming in the lake but not on this route. On my other hike I was trying to find the way to get there without a car but couldn't figure out how.
