'Where will you send them!' Keir Starmer heckled over migrant crisis in live Sun election showdown

Sir Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak were hammered by Sun readers on small boats and the NHS at a showdown election grilling.
The Labour chief and PM took on questions from Political Editor Harry Cole and our very own readers live from Sun HQ in London Bridge.
Both candidates to be PM were pressed on a range of issues - but were particularly put to task on immigration and health.
It comes as the latest polls place support for Sir Keir at 40 per cent, 20 points ahead of rival Mr Sunak.
On small boats the PM claimed illegal migrants are "queuing up in Calais waiting for a Labour government".
He admitted he has not "got the job done" yet on stopping small boats but promised the British public that he has a plan to kick illegal migrants out - while Labour will "release everyone".
Meanwhile, Sir Keir was pressed on his plans to tackle the soaring number of boat crossings.

So, illegal immigrants are being sent to Rwanda. What exactly happens when they get there? Who paid for their upkeep, clothing, feeding, medicals, etc? Rwanda government? What exactly is in it for the Rwandans? What kind of business transaction is this? The Tories are so good with their money making gimmicks. British people are so shortsighted. They have forgotten about the Brexit lies. 350 billion fleecing back into the NHS coffers to revamp the NHS. Why is no one asking any questions about all those lies? Sunak does not care about the poor. He wants the government to be able to help his friends to manage their wealth. Starmer may not be very good at debating but he appears humble and credible than Sunak. Exams are not a true test of knowledge. Give Starmer a chance to prove himself.

What you fail to say is that spending has nearly year on year less under the Tories vs Labour but the NHS was the second best Healthcare system in the world and the waiting lists were 75% less.

What is seriously wrong is the amount of money being spent on agency staff because they arent paying enough or investing enough in frontline staff. Thats how you save money long term.

Blatant hypocrisy! His grandparents came to the UK with very little and look where he is today and how grateful he is to the UK. Yet, he is clamping down on legal migration by people who desire what his grandparents desired. Cutting down on legal migration seems to be the easier task than stopping the boats and the pouring in of illegal migrants, even when the UK needs legal migrants in healthcare and education sectors which are bearing the brunt of the cuts in legal migration currently. Given the limit in time, Harry Cole made best use of his very limited time to stick with more likely matters. I thought Cole gave both interviewees an equally hard time. By the way, if Sunak pulled off a miraculous comeback to win, there is no way that he would be ousted, at least not until some crisis maybe a year or two down the line.

Really disingenuous for Keir Starmer to say that patients paying for private healthcare are jumping the queue. He said that a number of times. Private patients use a completely different system and free up a place on the NHS waiting list. My own father chose to pay for his knee replacement which created a place for a different NHS patient. He also donated a significant sum to the NHS. I can just imagine what Starmer would say if Rishi Sunak and his family took up places in the NHS when they can afford to pay.
