Hi Karen I'm 80 I've always loved and enjoyed fashion, I have more money to spend now on my passion for clothes but I walk with a stick and I'm treated as though I am invisible in shops there is no courtesy shown to older women in clothes shops and there are rarely seats in the fitting rooms. I am lucky I am able to buy on line, I follow some Advanced Style ladies wo can be rather extreme and source most of their fashion from charity shops, I really admire that but it takes the human element away. Still it is good to still be able to express your individuality xx

I thoroughly agree with your comments regarding age and size when it comes to style. I'm now 64 and a uk size 18 but I do not compromise what I wear. I still hunt out clothes that mirror my individuality. And I will never lose my love of fashion.

Bravo Karen 💐 for being so influential to speak on an international panel about how perhaps the fashion industry can initiate reforms such as a broader inclusivity. Beauty and the love of being beautiful is a concept for all types of humans and should not be solely focused on a certain prototype such as youth. Youth is optimal however if we are all lucky enough, we also get wiser with age. However that does not necessarily mean we want to stop evolving our style.

In the late1960s and early 1970s we all made our own denim skirts just like that. We cut a pair of jeans up the middle to open the legs and inserted the fabric of our choice in the center as a godet. Funny that you think it was from Y2K era. Every hippie girl had one!

I loved everything you had. That ruched skirt 🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤ It didn't matter what top you wore with it, the focus was still on that skirt! The couture fashion shows, OMG. Those pieces were beautiful. I know you felt like a princess trying on those couture clothes 👸 The gold dress and jacket, I noticed that it zipped down! The zipper pull was at the bottom.❤

I loved it all. The denim skirt is fantastic. I love the look of the white linen shirt with the black bra underneath. I also think the men’s suit was awesome with the addition of the scarf. Karen, you may know this, but if not, I highly recommend Ari Seth Cohen's books "Advanced Style". He has three out now, Advanced Style, Advanced Style Older & Wiser and Advanced Love. He interviews and photographs (fantastic fashion photography) older people and their personal style, both fashion and life. They are wonderful books and inspiring in my opinion. Loved this video by the way, great message!

2 hero pieces & 2 extra hero pieces : 1ste white shirt & black waistcoat and than the denim sleeveless blazer (has more blazer vibes than a waistcoat design) & the gray denim look dress Those 4 are 💯🔥 The AIRBNB interior is 😍😍😍 The lights everywhere are gorgeous designs, lots of beautiful curves ✌🏻🌻 Added later; i would let the tie undone or do it 1 time around the neck and let both sides just hang (like a pussybow or a long chainbelt where you do it 1 time spin around the neck) Its just more unexpected. Love that denim skirt! I have fashion books that put styles together by age groups, but I don’t think that holds true for everyone. I think we are the designers of our life. Right now I’m going for bright and cheery clothes to lift up my Spirit. I found a pair of jeans at Goodwill with painted sunflowers on them and I love them!!! 😊❤
