If you are in the mood for a pure and energetic classic metal album listen to Priest’s. If you are in the mood for exploration, variety, and more thinking metal choose Bruce’s album.

Dickinson’s is more mature, more original and more sincere. The production is more organic too. Priest’s, well… it’s a true blast, all the elements are there, the production is very modern and the band is firing on all cylinders. I like both albums, but relate more to Dickinson’s.

I cant answer this question as I heard only 2 songs of new Bruce's album..I quite like them honestly..But now I am not simply able to stop listening new Judas Priest..:-)

Priest has been better than Maiden for a long time now and should theoretically be selling out bigger venues too. I don’t see another band holding that torch when priest calls it a day.

the priest album is spot on. it's insane how good these songs are. the dickinson album wanders a lot, and for that reason i like it better. a lot of the album isn't really metal at all, but it fits in the metal context. more chord driven than riff driven. the playing is top notch and the production is sublime.

Easily Priest. They've got the full package of better vocals, solo's, riffs, harmonies, break downs, bridges and production. I do like Bruce's project a lot! but DAMN!! JP really went all in in every way! Either way it's been a great couple of Friday's in a row for the veterans of Heavy F'n Metal!! New kids Lutharo this Friday!

Wait, let me get this straight… And I need to sit down for this one. But Jimmy, you just said that the Bruce’s album has better mix and better production over the priest??? Over Priests new release!?!? I’m literally floored that you would actually make that kind of comment when it is absolutely clear that the Bruce album Comes nowhere near the priest album in terms of engineering quality and overall mix. Yes, this is my opinion but I’m telling you, even though I prefer the priest album as a complete package over the very amateur Bruce release, I’m still saying priest has a better overall mix and production. If you go and listen to every track on Bruce’s album, every song sounds like it was recorded in a different way and if you take Bruce’s name off of that album I would absolutely put this thing as an amateur release on that basis alone. I’m really astonished she would make that kind of comment with your credentials and experience in music. I just don’t understand where your heads at.

Keep in mind think both albums are fantastic. Bruce by a hair. I have heard both album as a stream, MP3, CDS and on headphones and in my car. In my opinion I think the production is more organic for Bruce. Sounds less processed. I enjoy the spacing of all the instruments a bit more on Bruce's album and yes the mix works very well for me. That's just my opinion and what i prefer. But if you hear it another way all good , more power to you

Unfortunately the Mandrake Project does not even come close. Bruce is a legend but JP’s musical output at the moment is at GOAT level. In my humble opinion.

Huge album from Judas Priest phenomenal music and vocals from metal God, even throw I'm huge Bruce and Maiden fun, unfortunately lower than expectations, boring without goosebumps, with a few tracks exceptions, seriously when he's doing albums he should stop doing other things and focus to music.

Priest easy. The Bruce Dickinson album is lame as hell, just like Iron Maiden albums are now. Judas Priest sounds just as bad ass now as they did in the 80's. Really impressive.

Blaze album destroys Bruce album. I think Blaze is a masterpiece love every song. I only like half the Dickinson songs.
